"Okay kids! Be safe everyone! Please, please try your best to stay out of trouble!" Molly gives each of us a hug before we take off to Platform 9 3/4 for school.
"Can't make any promises!" Fred exclaims and the twins both kiss her cheeks.
One by one, we run onto the platform where all the students are waiting to board.
When we get close to the crowd, we get bombarded by girls who seem to all be calling to Fred.
I can feel my blood start to boil as I see him eating up the attention.
"Fred! I heard you faced Death Eaters! That must've been so scary!" A blonde Ravenclaw girl holds onto his arm and Fred smirks, "A treacherous fight."
My mouth drops open and I look to George. Fred begins walking off with the crowd of girls and I scoff.
"Does he not remember that I saved his ass?" I ask and George laughs, "Don't take it to heart Maddie! He's probably on cloud nine."
I roll my eyes, "George, you're his identical twin brother! I'm sure those girls think that's he's you!"
"No way! People hardly can tell us apart but Fred is a lot more outgoing than me, more of a ladies man." George shakes his head and I laugh out loud.
"A ladies man? Are you kidding? You are so much more romantic than Fred!" I slap him on the back and he smiles.
"That may be true but he's bolder than me, ladies love bad boys."
I laugh at his response and we head onto the train.
George and I stayed in our compartment where Lee Jordan was already waiting for us.
We caught up with Lee which was great! He was our other best mate.
After waiting for Fred to show up, I fell quiet. George must've been reading my mind because a few seconds later he said what I was thinking.
"Fred might be sitting with those girls from earlier." George rubbed the back of his neck and I rolled my eyes, "Figures."
He looked at me sympathetically and I shook my head.
About five minutes later, when the train started to move, someone ran into our compartment door.
Outside of the window, we could see Fred laughing at himself before he opened the door.
I refused to look at him as he was beaming with excitement.
"Fred, mate! Where have you been?" Lee asks, standing to give Fred a hug.
"Freddie! I could've sworn you wouldn't come looking for us." George says to him and Fred sits next to me.
"Ah, no. I couldn't deal with all those girls the whole trip. They'd drive me mad." Fred snickers and I roll my eyes, looking out of the window.
"Besides, we've sat together every year so far and I'm not about to break tradition." Fred shakes my shoulder and I can't help but smile at his statement.
"Don't think we didn't notice you getting a big head there Weasley." I shove him and he laughs, "What can I say? The ladies love me."
"Oh my." I slug his arm and he keeps laughing.
"It's about time they want a slice of this."
I laugh at his stupid expression, "You are mental."
I glance over at George who wiggles his eyebrows at me. I give him a confused look and he laughs, "I'd say you're both mental."
