My head rest against Fred's chest and I took a deep breath as I felt my skin soaking up the warmth from the sun.
It was the first day of April, the twins' birthday was today and I smiled to myself, knowing what I had in store for them later tonight. Fred and I were having a picnic today just the two of us. I didn't want him to know about my other plans but it was hard for me to not be excited. I love celebrating other people's birthdays and making them happy. The twins would finally be old enough to do magic legally and I knew they were buzzing about that.
Lee, Ron, Hermione, Ginny, Luna and Neville were helping me put something together for them and I was pretty excited. I wanted it to be a surprise, but I also was terrible at hiding things so I'm sure they know that I'm up to something by now.
"So Lee wants me and George to go to dinner with him tonight and I was trying to have you come, but he was pretty persistent in it just being us guys," Fred sighed and I sat up to look at him.
"That's okay, we can just get together tonight for desert! I actually have a perfect idea!"
Fred smirks to me and he gently moves some hair out of my face.
"Hm, what is it?" Fred asks and I laugh, "I can't tell you silly! It's a surprise!"
Fred sits up too and moves his face slowly down to mine and plants a kiss on my forehead, "Okay, whatever you say."
I smile at him and steal a short kiss from his lips before standing up.
"I have to go help Lee with your gifts before he sees you guys so I will see you later!" I say and Fred pouts, "What? Why now?"
I raise my eyebrows at him and extend my hand to him. He takes it and I try to pull him up but he just pulls me down so I fall on top of him.
"Fred! Seriously! I have to go!" I say between laughter and he holds me for a moment.
He sighs, "Fine!" Fred starts to kiss my neck and I roll my eyes, pushing him off of me after a moment.
"Jeez Weasley, save that for later," I brush his hair back and stare into his eyes. He smiles and winks. I shake my head and give him another kiss before standing up again.
"Okay, meet me in the Common Room at nine!" I start to back away and Fred gasps, "Nine? That's so long away!"
I wink, "Patience is a virtue, Freddie."
I start to walk away and catch a glimpse of Luna when I am walking through the courtyard. She skips up to me, humming.
"Hi Madeline! Ronan is helping me decorate the cake for tonight! Would she be allowed to come to the party?" Luna beams at me as she waits for my response.
I try to think about who she's talking about and then the image of Ronan's face comes into mind. She's a beater on the Ravenclaw quidditch team.
"Ronan Taylor?" I ask and Luna nods.
I smile and nod back, "Yeah, she can come! But that's where I draw the line. It's hard enough sneaking you into the Common Room, let alone another Ravenclaw."
Luna smiles, "Thanks Madeline!"
She begins to hum again as she skips away. I hurry back to my dormitory to get things ready for tonight. I wanted everything to be perfect. The twins usually throw the parties in the Common Room and everyone loves them.
When I got back to my room, I picked out a nice short dress and some heels. I put them out on my bed along with my makeup and hairbrush. I grabbed a few random necklaces to choose from and my perfume.
