Hello, journal! My name is Leon and I am one of the many impressive Hydra workers who were present at your brainwashing. It was highly entertaining. I know how much you write in here so I thought that I would keep it up to date whilst you focus on your mission. I was assigned with the task of bringing you into the brainwashing room which should have been difficult but being the delicate female you are, you allowed me to take you with no attempt of escaping. However, once we had entered the brainwashing room your panic started. Your watery eyes enlarged and the hairs on the nape of your neck bristled. You tried to scream, but the inside of your mouth lacked any moisture and a croak was all that issued from your gape. Then the shallow breaths came and before I knew it you were sitting on the floor, limbs unwilling to work at all. I carried you over to the chair and managed to strap you in whilst you screamed with your whole body. Your eyes wide with horror, the mouth rigid and open, your chalky face gaunt and immobile, the fists clenched with blanched knuckles and the nails digging deeply into the palms of your hand. The scream tore through me like a great shard of glass. I even felt my eyes widen and pulse quicken, my heart thudding like a rock rattling in a box. The scream came again, desperate, terrified... human. But then I remembered that I am a Hydra worker and I do not feel emotions, I am emotionless, so I carried on with my task.
Finally, everything was in place and you were ready to be brainwashed. Pierce gave the orders and due to the relentless screams coming from you, the annoying girl, it was a very quick procedure. The panels on your head flashed bright blue and then there was a scream from deep within you that forced its way from your mouth, it was as if your terrified soul had unleashed a demon. It was the kind of scream that made your blood run cold. But not me. I enjoyed it. You screamed like a baby in a tumble dryer, garbled, muffled, intermittent, but none the less distressing and intense.
Then there was silence. THANK GOODNESS!
The terror in your eyes had been replaced with an intense range. Your rage held all the power of a wildfire, you could practically see the flames roaring in your eyes, ready to ignite anything that you came in contact with.
Alexander Pierce proceeded to tell you the mission, "kill Steve Rogers."
Your fingers coiled into fists, crushing the glass rods you'd held. The glass pierced the skin of your palms but you barely felt it. Waves of fury rolled off you as the blood rose to your cheeks. The term anger, barely even touched the tip of the volcano that you so clearly was in that moment.
"Ready to comply sir."
And with that, you were taken out of the room and back into your cell.
But this time as a new person. A better person in Hydra's opinion.
I hope that this extract is useful for your journal. You are Hydra's prized possession right now.
