I woke to the sound of breathing that wasn't my own. It was heaving, like a man and rapid as if he's run into the room. I listened, still, trembling. He moved slowly, his heavy feet creaked floorboards that are silent for me. Suddenly he grabbed me and dragged me off into another room. A lab in fact. This is where he told me Hydra's plan.
They are after Tony and I, with the sole purpose of playing mind tricks on both of us. Hydra wants me to be exposed to the past lives of the Avengers, in the hope that it will turn me against them. But that would never happen and I told him that. They want to completely destroy Tony by showing to him his future with his inventions. I didn't think this speech could get much worse but of course, it did.
He mentioned Bucky.
Thoughts of Steve flooded my mind. I shook my head violently but my thoughts would not dislodge themselves. They will drive me insane.
Bucky is here and they are going to brainwash him again. I made a small gagging noise before the sour scent of puke was added to the already disgusting aroma that lingered in the laboratory.
Fuelled by anger, I told him that Hydra's master plan will fail and that's all I remember as I then woke up again in my little cell, clutching my notebook. I wrote all of this down immediately.
