You were so wrong. So damn wrong.

You couldn't do it.

For the first half an hour it all seemed so easy, too easy to be exact.

As long as it was helping hold the ropes at the bow and untangling the nets by the grates everything was fine, but as soon as Yunho mentioned tightening the knots on the sails, your heart plummeted down to your stomach.

Looking up at the yellowish sails, you swallowed a hard lump down your throat. Just watching them flapping in the sky up so high made you feel dizzy.

Being afraid of heights wasn't helping you now that you were forced to climb up the mainmast, struggling to keep balance at every step. It sucked, to say the least

Yunho was so agile that in a matter of a few minutes he was already at the top, working on the ropes of the mainsail with such concentration across his face that anything could've happened and he wouldn't have even noticed.

Suddenly, while you were trying to secure your foot in the crook between the mainmast and the cross-tree a hand tapped on the top of your head startling you so much that almost made you fall off.

"You may want to speed up a lil' bit there," it was Wooyoung, sitting astride on the cross-tree with his arms crossed in front of his chest as if it was a normal thing to do.

"Just to let ya know, Yunho doesn't like layabouts that much" He said matter-of-factly cocking up a brow.

"Y'know, I'm trying" You retorted through gritted teeth, climbing higher, surpassing him, trying your very best not to get distracted.

He just shrugged and jumped off, landing on the deck on his feet easily, shooting you a malicious smile before running away.

Show off.

Deciding to ignore him, you finally managed to reach Yunho who was almost finished re-doing the knots of the topsail, you were feeling less than useless at this point.

Sighing, he motioned you to get closer to him so you could see how to do it.

His forehead was shiny with sweat, but he didn't look fatigued at all. His hands moved swiftly across the ropes, tying them in a neat knot, then then untying it and handing them to you to try it yourself.

After a few minutes and a series of failed attempts, you managed to tie the knot the proper way. You were proud of yourself.

But your satisfied expression fell off your face as soon as you looked at him pinching the bridge of his nose and lightly shaking his head.

How was it wrong? It didn't look so different from his knots. Where did you mess up?

It didn't make any sense to you.

You were sure you did everything right, why would he be shaking his head like that?

He moved you aside to take your place, and silently began to do the work on his own, not giving you a single look as if he had already grown tired of you.

The bell rang and suddenly it was time for lunch.

Yunho stood up and climbed down the mainmast with the help of a rope, and with a blink of the eye he was already jogging towards the table leaving you alone hanging on a net.

Although he made climbing down look so easy, it really wasn't. Climbing down was hard, if not even harder than climbing up. You felt completely helpless as you struggled immensely trying to districate your feet from the nets as the same time as trying not to end up splattered on the deck.
