The warmth of the sand seeped through your limbs as you woke up. Although you were still drowsy, you still managed to get on your feet without too much effort.

In front of you was a shore of pearly white sand, it reflected the light of the scorching sun as if it was freshly fallen snow.

Snow, hah. Snow on a shore in the middle of the Caribbeans.

It sounded almost comical.

You turned around to take a glimpse of the tall palm trees swishing in the light breeze.

The seagulls cried out loudly in the sky with high-pitched shrieks while others scampered near the water beside a little girl dressed in a deep blue robe who was feeding them some bread crumbs.

The girl suddenly stopped and stood up greeting you with a smile, urging you to come closer to her to feed the seagulls together.

"Ah June, it's nice to see you again! Here, take this." She said handing you half of the bread she had and proceeded to crouch down again.

Her smile was enough to surpass the brightness of the sun and so big that her eyes formed in crescent shapes above her cubby cheeks.

You looked at her confusedly but sat down nonetheless.

June?

You started pulling out small pieces off of the bread and threw them in the water, eating one yourself too, only to regret it as soon as it entered your mouth: it didn't taste bad but it didn't taste good either.

It tasted like nothing, like water...?

"Silly! That's not for you, it's for the seagulls!" She giggled.

"Ehm... who are you?" You asked the girl while she played with a small crab that had just escaped the waves.

She placed it down and looked up at you, her cheerful expression falling off her face "You don't remember already?"

Huffing and laying down onto the sand, she continued "I mean...we only met a few centuries ago, I didn't expect her to act too soon..." she said looking quite disappointed.

Your eyes bulged out of their sockets "A few centuries ago?!"

"Yes, what's the matter with that?" She replied calm as ever.

Then it hit her "Oh, but don't you worry about that for now, you will know when you need to know."

It still didn't make you any less worried.

"Anyway, the name's September but you can call me Ember!" She exclaimed making you slightly flinch in surprise.

"Pleasure" you shook her hand.

You laid down covering your face with your arms but noticing one big detail: the coat was gone.

After a while, you spoke up again "Hey... Ember? How did I get here?"

"You didn't get here.» She said standing up and dusting the sand off of her dress "Come with me, I'll show you something."

You stood up and followed her inside the palm tree forest.

Ember followed a narrow path in between the dense vegetation with you trailing shortly after in fear you would get lost in that green maze.

You came to a clearing, most likely at the center of the island and, a few meters away straight in front of you, stood big brown rock with two massive pillars at either side of an opening.

Even from the exterior, it looked like some sort of sanctuary. There were lots of intricate carvings and decorations onto the frame of the door which made it even more interesting.
