I'd never really given much thought into what kind of wedding I might one day have. I thought wedding and wife weren't in my dictionary but from the second I laid my eyes on Mishti, it did change.
I made plans on pledging my own vows because I didn't like the traditional vows they showed me. Nah! She's an Astatine and I'll have to give her something unique. I was in a position to create my own vows because I had done enough complications in my wedding due to my fears of losing her. Sometimes complications are also more fine than losing a life. My fears of losing my loved ones were on pinnacle.
I wasn't nervous thinking about Mishti being my responsibility from now on. Yes, that didn't make me scared but the moment we stepped inside the Chapel that's when I felt my palms sweating and my legs shivering.
What if I drop the ring? Anyways there's no one here to watch us other than the priest and I'm sure he could also pick the Ring, I dropped and handed it over to me but I was still nervous.
I was just terrified of screwing it up for Mishti. This was her one and only wedding day, because there was not a chance I was letting her get away from me to marry someone else. I have to be positive here, I can't let her go and I might even turn selfish in the end to keep her with me forever. So, what if I messed my lines up, or stood on her dress?
Regarding her dress, the floor length anarkali suit in white made her look like an Angel from above. God has just sent me an Angel and there's no chance I'm losing her. She gave me a timid smile as we walked together inside the Chapel, my eyes fell on the bouquet in her hand. It was a mixture of those flowers which represented- love, care, affection, passion and family.
"What if I screw up the lines?" I thought she didn't hear that but she did and her hand slapped down on my shoulder. We faced each other, "You won't Abir. Trust me you are good at acting and the wedding will look realistic." Her eyes met mine and her assuredness seemed to calm me down a little.
When I stared at her stomach, I saw her exhaling and inhaling the air frequently and she was holding the platinum masculine wedding band in her palm, extremely tight as if it could give her some strength that she needed now. I understood she was a bit satisfied that she wasn't the only one nervous here and I'm also with her in this. I also sensed her fear of dropping the male ring down which I gave while coming out from the hotel suite room.
One more step closer and we reached the Altar. "Lights, camera and action" I said, trying to control her nervousness while I wasn't just that good at controlling my own nervousness. "I have the best acting skills, Director sir." She chucked, holding my left hand tight.
I had insisted on having the ceremony recorded, because this was too precious for me to treasure it. Her lips curled and my eyes sparkled looking at that. She was laughing like laughing for what?
In just under an hour I would have myself a little wife that I loved unconditionally. If she's happy and laughing today while it's just fake for her, I'm still thinking how she'll react when she gets to know it's true and real.
The clergy gave me a questioning facial expression, looking at Mishti's craziness and I know, I love a crazy woman but I didn't expect her to laugh like this in the Altar.
"Mishti?" I called her in my stern voice.
"Yeah..." She continued laughing.
"Why are you laughing like nuts?" I grunted.
"Abir, I'm that one kid in the class who's so nervous when the teacher scolds and starts laughing. Don't mind me please. I'll be the happiest bride when people get to see what we're recording."
Gosh! it could have gotten her into trouble in her classroom. I want to know how many times she got for it. Could it be countless?
The clergy was still looking at me like, one last time think whether you want only this crazy woman. I have nothing to say here, I just want her and I always get what I want.
