Plenty of works behind my back didn't give much time to spend with Mishti. I had to rush to Italy, three days back to check on the damaged goods as there was a sudden fire ancient in the factory.
Luckily, there wasn't any heavy loss, just around ten software were damaged and the short circuit has messed up the place.
"We'll be finishing the paintings in one or two days," the agent said.
I nodded my head and texted Mishti. Her last seen was somewhere around 1am today. She would actually mail me about my schedules even if she's in Paris and I'm here. I was feeling something going wrong and called her but she didn't pick up her calls.
As Anaisha was also with her, I started to curse myself for leaving her alone. I checked my mail ID for the confirmation of my flight ticket and noticed a mail from Mishti.
She has applied for leave. I noticed the date and remembered about her taking leave only on this particular day every year. Now, being her husband, I felt the need to know more about that.
I picked up my phone and called her but I only heard the recorded voice. She didn't attend my calls.
"Abir, the car has arrived."
I looked at my employee confused. I found it ideal to get back to Paris as soon as possible. I could still ask her mom or dad to go to my house and check on her but I didn't want to bother them.
"Sam, just look at the next flight to Paris" because I have reserved my ticket for tonight and it's high time, I should get back to Mishti.
"I'll check and book the ticket, Abir."
I exited from my cabin and headed straight out of my house. The SUV was waiting outside my house and I got inside. The whole journey to my previous home in Italy was making me feel restless.
I kept on trying to call Mishti but she wasn't even responding. If she had at least gone to the office, I would have called someone in the office and asked about her. The weird part here was I didn't even have her foster sister's phone number too.
I called the technology department in my office and asked them to give all kinds of contact details of Anaisha. They asked for an hour and the next flight to Paris was also in an hour.
I reached the place, I wanted to visit and then stepped down from the car. I stepped inside my old house. I had plenty of happy memories here. There were times where I was in a position to sell this house where I'm standing now. The house was extremely shabby and many of the iron things were rusted along with the wooden wardrobe's doors broken. This is not how I wanted the place to be seven years back. I sneezed inhaling the dust and then covered my mouth.
I asked for the painters who were whitewashing the factory to help in the renovating my house too. I didn't want this to be like a haunted house anymore.
I waited for the house cleaning agency people to arrive as I needed to hand over the keys to them.
I then went around the house. The place wasn't too huge like my current house but still that made me feel like home. I walked inside the small room where I once sat investing new projects for his company.
All I could hear was my sister's words echoing. She was the strongest woman I have ever come across. Her cute smile and bold eyes helped me grow my firm. She was actually more similar to Mishti. They are confident but love to stick out like they've no confidence.
"You mean me... Are you so sure? You want me as the CEO?"
"Trust me no one can match your confidence."
"Just because my capital investment is more, you can't make me a CEO while you can work more effectively than me."
"I should shine like the whole universe is mine? I don't even know the spelling of uni-ver-se... then how can I? Jokes apart. I'm in frustration."
