THIRD PERSON POINT OF VIEW:-
The smell of Indian masala chai, the fragrance of fresh jasmine, the aroma of butter in the nearby bakery brought her out from the long sleep.
Unique people being in a unique country. She smiled, looking at her alarm down and some really sweet person in her life has turned it off, to let her sleep.
Yet again, she smiled looking at the pillows being on her sides. Now, pillows and next could even be a steel handle raised up from the sides of the bed.
Mishti was running late. She rarely ran late. But she hadn't slept well last night. It was difficult to sleep in the flight for her while she wasn't able to throw her hands and snuggle closer to Abir.
She only slept after coming to the studio apartment. Living in the separate mansion isolated from the city in France, here living in an apartment reminded about her stays in France with Adalyn as her neighbour. She missed being with her.
Mishti raised up from the bed and rushed on the shower. She didn't have much time to switch on the geyser and take a warm bath. Opening the knot that held her hair together she undressed herself and stood under the shower. There she shivered a little and then her body got adopted to the coldness.
Fast like a cheetah, she finished her shower and came out. The thought of being late was making her panic. She still tried to calm herself by humming songs and pulled up her first layer clothes. All she really needed to do was slip into her suit and high heels. She wasn't going to have time to eat breakfast, so she decided to munch on an apple while going to the branch office.
"Mishti, where you kept the part..nership..de..ed" Abir came to a halt, Looking at his breathtaking wife. There wasn't an regret he had for popping inside the room like that. He didn't shrug but kept looking at the beautiful sight he had in picked up for himself in the entire world. He stood in awestruck.
She squeaked. Squeaked. But, hell, she was standing there in her damn bra and panties! And there was nothing close that she could grab to cover herself with while she was shivering out of embarrassment. "Can't you knock?"
His dark, broody eyes raked over her, focusing on her so intently it made her scalp prickle. She stilled, feeling trapped. Uncomfortable. Exposed. The air charged with an electric tension that made her body tighten. She waited for his words. Fuck! The partnership for now.
She didn't move an inch. She couldn't. She felt rooted to the spot by the steamy heat in his gaze. There was something very predatory about him right then. Something that made her feel not quite threatened, no, but hunted. A dangerously wicked hunger unfurled in her stomach.
It occurred to her that she'd frozen just like prey. There she remembered having her pride. She wasn't easily intimidated or unnerved. But, yeah, I was astonished right then. Nobody had ever looked at her with such open need and bold possession, like it was their right to do so. In short, just his right.
Well, it wasn't his right. Not at all. But she didn't say that, because it would sound like nothing short of a challenge. There she wasn't ready for another agreement with him. She already had enough to cherish.
His eyes locked with hers, still hot and hungry. "I thought you'd already be dressed. You're usually ready by this time." He pretended like he didn't know people take their own time to adapt to the change in timing from one country to another. There he couldn't control his urge of running inside and pinning his sweetest wife in the bed.
"I just need a minute," she declared, wanting him to clear the room. Even in her imagination she didn't imagine his observation. She couldn't believe that he was such an eye fucker. The wetness in her core made it a bit hard for her to even push her legs. She was almost like going to fall on her knees if his eyes kept on roaming around her like everything in the room faded away.
