Mo never believed in luck, if you wanted something you had to work for it. Fate and all this bull weren't real, at least not in her eyes. Nothing just flew into your hands like this. Of course, she rarely told the boys how much work the management of the band was. How hard it was to get some good gigs. Seeing their smiles made it totally worth it. She let them believe it was fate and in a way Mo liked this, their music had to be heard, so much was clear. But meeting Leila was pure luck. Who knew that she wasn't the only ghost ghosting around, desperately trying to find some answers.
Mo giggled. "What are you laughing at?" Leila looked at her with a questioning look. The two new friends were sitting on a bench, catching some fresh air and processing the new information. "I was just thinking about how you never think of new timely ghosts, when you think of ghosts, they always died in like 1860 or so." Leila tried not to laugh, holding a hand in front of her mouth. Shaking her head, she changed the topic.
"We're gonna go and meet my friend Willie, he is always way better with feelings and advice. Lucky for you I know exactly where he hangs around." Leila got a hold of Mos' arm, "this is gonna be so much fun" the girl laughed and poofed both of them to a skatepark close to the beach where Mo sat just a couple of hours ago.
"Ey Willie! Skate my way!" Mo jumped at the loud voice. Who knew that such a small person could scream like that. And who in the right mind would scream over the whole skatepark.
Sometimes the image that you have from someone in your head completely matches the person, but this time it didn't. When Mo heard the name Willie, she thought of a lanky, blonde dude who loved to go surfing. She didn't expect to see him. At first, she didn't even think that he was a fellow ghost, just another boy.
A tall figure skated in their direction, completely unbothered by all the people he went through. A big smile spreading on his face, waving frantically. Leila winked at Mo.
"He's cute right?" When Mo did not react, Leila nudged her with her elbow. "dude, shut your mouth or you will eat a fly." Mo closed her mouth and rolled her eyes. She wasn't staring, she just always admired art when she saw it.
"Ley, Ley! I'm here, did you see that trick I just did before. I finally managed to do it. After like" Willie looked at the new girl "and who is this?" he took off his helmet and Mo swore she could feel her knees getting weak. What? He was gorgeous. She would kill to have hair like that.
"Hi, my name is Mo and I just met the dear Leila here. She noticed that I looked a bit out of place and thought she could help me." she looked from Leila to Willie.
"I'm guessing you're new to all the ghost things?" Mo nodded, playing with the hem of her skirt.
"Willie, you're never gonna believe that she died in 1995! She is ancient." The other girl huffed, crossing her arms. "Uhm, please? I am NOT ancient, I would only be about 41ish right now. I didn't choose to be born then."
