Ironic how just a couple of hours ago Mo decided to move on with her life. To try and forget the boys. She got new friends and a cosy place to stay. Yet here she was, standing in her friends' arms. The familiar scent of Reggie's perfume hugging her like a blanket.
In an instinct, she turned around and faced Reggie. Speechless she looked at him. Shock prominent on both faces, a smile creeping up. She jumped into his arms, which never left her side, by the way, holding him as tight as possible. Legs around his torso. She felt other arms joining the hug. All that was heard were heart-wrenching sobs from all four of them and an occasional omg, omg, omg from Mo.
After what was definitely not long enough, Reggie let loose, setting her down again. "The others deserve to hug you as well," he said, wiping tears away from his face.
Before she could decide who to hug next, she was being spun around. Strong arms holding her tightly around the waist. "Never let me go again, okay?" the girl whispered into Luke's ear as he stopped twirling. With two feet back on the ground she looked up into his eyes. Luke cupped her cheeks and wiped a tear away from her face.
"You'll ruin your makeup, so stop crying right now! This is a happy situation!" she knew that that was an excuse. He was crying just as much. She bit her lip, nodding.
"Alex!" Mo screamed, running at the third boy with full speed. His arms were open just waiting for her. With all the force that the impact of the bodies made, the two fell to the ground. Alex's arms engulfing her in a bone-crushing hug. "I thought I'd never see you again" Alex spoke into her hair. The girl cried even harder.
It was weird how much she missed their smell. Often, when the girl slept in the studio the smell was overbearingly strong. Their colognes, body smells and perfumes mixed together. But now hugging them, Mo realised that all of them smelt like some part of home. Not that they smell bad, they just haven't found the right amount to use.
What Mo didn't know is that the boys were grieving just as much. They were sick with worry. Appearing without their other best friend. Julie couldn't help them either. They searched for her in the museum and what was left of her family home. The same questions burning holes into their brains.
"How am I here? I mean, I didn't poof here. How long have you been here? Omg, I missed you so much." the girl stood up, dusting off Alex's back. The whole group was smiling. A weight lifting from their hearts.
Luke picked up his guitar that was leaning on a broken tree nearby. "Well, I- I wished for my guitar and it appeared in my hands so Reggie had the glorious idea to try it with you. And here you are. It worked!" Luke pulled Mo closer to him, so they were standing shoulder to shoulder. Arms intertwined. The girl rested her head on his shoulder.
"Reggie did ask for a pizza first."
"Oh, shut up Alex. She's here now!" Reggie sat down in the sand, pouting like a toddler.
