Mo was afraid that Luke could hear her heart beating, it felt like it was ripping out of her chest. The two of them still swayed on the floor. Her head was now leaning on his chest and his face was nuzzled in the crook of her neck. He was humming the melody of a new song he wrote. Mo didn't know how long they danced like that. The rest of the world completely blacked out, only the two of them mattered. She didn't know if this was an 'I'm your friend and I didn't want to dance with the other lady' dance or a 'hey, I like you' dance, to be honest, she didn't care. She just enjoyed the warmth and calmness she felt when being so close to Luke. If you were to ask her, the moment should've never ended, but like always, life didn't want to go her way. The magic had to end eventually.

Bells of a clock nearby chimed, letting everybody know that it was midnight.

"Oh, the haunting hour is upon us," Caleb exclaimed, urging the band to play again, ripping the dancing pair out of their little bubble. Rather quickly, Luke pulled away from Mo. She could still feel the ghost of his hands on her hips.

"Midnight?! How...How'd that happen?"

"Julie's dance!"

The two took an awkward step away from each other. Luke went off to search for Alex while Mo tried to get Reggie away from one of the dancers.

"Dude! We lost track of time!" Mo tried to grab Reggie's hand and pull him away but he only shook her off.

"Not right now, man." she rolled her eyes, while Reggie's attention was on the dancer "Come on, I will get you a girlfriend later! I promise."

She wiggled in between the dancing pair and shoved Reggie in the chest, slowly pushing him away from her. "Come on dude! Don't be so heavy! We missed Julie's dance."

"Hey, what the fuck, Mo!" Reggie protested in a shrill voice.

"We're late! It's midnight." Reggie understood immediately, his eyes widening in realisation. "Oh shoot. That's right. Maybe we can still make it. Where's Alex and Luke?" turning around Reggie screamed through the whole Club "Boys we forgot..." the two hectically scanned the room.

Mo's eyes stuck to a familiar figure that desperately tried to get Alex from a swinging hoop up in the air. Alex was screaming, apparently afraid of falling down, while Luke tried to reach his leg. Mo grabbed Reggie's hand and pulled him over to the others.

She felt really bad and guilty, she had promised Julie that she would make sure the boys would make it. She knew how important it was for Julie to perform, how embarrassing it must've been when they didn't show up. She didn't blame Luke for pulling her into a ban, it was her own fault for getting lost in his eyes and the moment. If she didn't wanna ruin Sunset Curves second chance, she needed to be harsher with herself when it came to Luke.

Luke was pulling on Alex' leg nearly ripping him down.

"Luke stop, you know I'm scared of heights." the boy exclaimed.
