Pierson
"Cody, come on!" I beg.
"No way!" Cody stays clung to my side.
I sigh and snap a picture of Lawson and Beckett.
"Gorgeous." I smile.
"Cody, why do you never wanna be in pictures?"
"I don't know." our oldest triplet shrugs.
River and I look at each other.

"Your report cards finally came in! Boys!" I shout.
"They're probably in their room." River rubs my shoulder.
"Probably." I laugh and jog upstairs. "Hey, I was calling you three!"
Lawson and Beckett look at me with those adorable smiles. "We were just playing some cold war." Beckett laughs.
I turn to see Cody all by himself on the couch.
"He didn't wanna play... trust us, we offered." Lawson frowns.
I sigh and turn back to the identical boys in front of me. "Well, you both got A honor roll!" I exclaim.
"Knew it!"
"Look at us!"
"High five for good stuff!" Lawson puts his hand up and Beckett high fives him.
"Cody-"
"I already know, mama." Cody stands up.
"You're in sixth grade now, buddy."
"My grades don't automatically turn to A's once I hit middle school." Cody leaves the room.
I place the boys honor rolls in the desk and follow Cody downstairs. "Cody, come on. What's wrong?"
He leans on the end of the staircase. "It's hard, mama. You don't get it! Lawson and Beckett are praised in school and me? It's like I'm not even there."
