His Story

Pierson

"Florida? What?" I ask once he gets off the phone.

"It's... complicated." he speed walks to his room.

"My whole life is complicated! What's wrong?" I follow him. "River!"

He sighs and turns to me. "It might be best if you go home right now. I need to sort things out." he speed walks right back out.

"River..."

"Please, Pierson. I'll call you tonight." he looks at me.

I frown. "Okay." I grab my stuff and turn to him. "Goodbye..."

"See you later!" he waves and begins typing on his laptop.

I sigh and leave his house, getting into my car that I left here yesterday.

Anxiety fills my veins, but I try to let it go,

especially while I'm driving.

Within minutes and so many thoughts in my head, I finally arrive home.

"Well you're home early. I thought you were making gingerbread houses with River?" mom pokes her head out from the kitchen.

I sigh, setting my keys down. "We were, but he got an important call and said it was best I left."

"Oh I'm sure he didn't mean it like that, hun! That boy has a lot on his plate. He is a police officer." she raises an eyebrow.

"I know, I know. I just wish I knew what was going on rather than not knowing anything." I grab my laptop from the table.

"Keep your mind occupied, love. He'll tell you when he can." she responds.

I nod in agreement. "Yeah. I'll be in my room!"

"Okay! Let me know if you need anything! Did you eat?" she asks me.

"Yes!" I laugh and she smiles, nodding for me to leave.

I walk into my room and sit on the edge of my bed.

My leg bounces up and down anxiously.

Is he gonna call?

Text?

Anything?

I wipe my incoming tears and open my laptop to find a movie on amazon prime to watch. More specifically, a horror movie.

I swing my legs over onto the bed and hook my laptop up to my tv.

My phone buzzes, causing me to shoot up in excitement to see if it's River, but, it's not.

Hey biitttchhh!😂 is River in a better mood?

I chuckle.

Me :
hey! and he was when i was with him

Sophia ❣️ :
Are you not anymore?

Me :
no 😔 he got a call and sent me home... he sounded pretty upset

Sophia ❣️ :
Really? Did you hear anything?

Me :
well he told me that he has to leave for Florida tomorrow morning

Sophia ❣️ :
Oh idk anything about that and Cash is taking an anger nap so I can't ask him 😤 I'm sure it's all alright though! Have you heard from him??
