random thing i wrote

trigger warning: death? suicide mention 

when pidge was 8 they were riding their bike and wasnt looking as they crossed the street. a car was driving by, and didnt have enough time to stop fully before hitting pidge, knocking them and their bike over. that was the last thing pidge could remember before they were in the hospital. 

 when they were 18 they tried to kill themself after their brother and father had died.

  beep 

They could hear their mothers mutters, their fathers tapping foot. their brothers small cries.

  beep 

lance's sobs, keiths small wimpers, hunks jumbled speaking, shrios worried tapping 

beep 

"stay with us katie" they could hear someone say, "stay with us" 

beep 

"its my fault i could have stopped them-"

"its not your fault, its all of our faults" 

beep 

they must have been drifting away, because when they could hear again, the cries had grown, and were now coming from more than one person. their eyes fluttered.

  beep

more cries could be heard, but they seemed far away. they seemed to be off in a voild, echoing, as if they were alone in an empty room, the sobs seemed to bounce off the walls 

beep 

they drifted away again, feeling afloat and strange, as if they were on the clouds, getting taken away from the wind 

beep 

they felt that same feeling, the feeling they had felt so many years ago, and didnt want to let it go. they wanted to follow the wind, let it take them away. they could feel their brothers and fathers presence near them. 

beep

"DON'T LEAVE ME" soemone yelled, their voice loud and heavy, thick with emotions, yet so quiet at the same time "DONT LEAVE ME PLEASE" 

pidge fought the wind. 

beep

"please dont go" someone sobbed, "please stay with us..."

pidge was at a loss of what to do

beep 

"PLEASE KATIE.... pidge... dont leave me alone...."

 their eyes fluttered 

beep 

"c'mon pidge, dont go... please dont go...."

beep

"come back to us...."

  beep 

"you are like my sister.... i love you...." 

beep 

"come back to me.... we can blast music at 10pm..." 

beep 

"we all love you..."

beep

they stirred.

"please...." 

they fought the wind

the world came crashing back around them, docters mumbling things, the heart monitor beeping, the cries coming from their family, the sad chuckles that filled the room. the air was filled with sadness along with happiness they were alive

they didnt want to go back to the world of problems. they wanted to let themself go, they wanted to be free, but something in them wouldnt let that happen. they fought the wind.

"katie? can you hear me?" their eyes fluttered.

  beep 

the world crashed around them again, just as it had done years ago. but this time it was different. their brother wasnt there. their father wasnt there. but their friends were.

beep 

the bring lights of the hospital seemed to blind them as they finally could see again. they were back

"PIDGE!" someone screamed- lance, pidge noted. "pidge? you with us buddy?" hunk. "pidge?" keith. the tapping of shiros foot could still be faintly heard. they were alive
