"Before you go—" interrupted Molly, running over to the table. "You should get settled in your rooms. I'll show everyone where they'll be staying."
We all quickly finished our breakfast and brought our plates to the sink to be washed. Molly smiled at us gratefully as she waited patiently in the living room.
"Okay, it's going to be a tight fit, since we've got everyone coming," she declared, beginning to lead us up the flight of stairs. She paused for a moment and leaned towards me. "And especially since Ronald didn't tell me he was bringing that new girl until last minute," she muttered under her breath, and I laughed softly in response.
"Unfortunately, we can't fit more than three of you to a room," she began nervously. "Originally, we were going to keep all you girls together and have y/n stay with Ginny and Hermione in Ginny's room, but Celeste sort of complicates that," Molly stated, pursing her lips while stealing a quick glance at Celeste. "And Harry was going to go with Ron and the twins would be alone, but I don't want to put Celeste with two boys."
I happily watched Celeste fight the urge to roll her eyes as she not-so-discreetly clenched her fists.
"Instead, we'll have Harry with the twins and Celeste with Ginny and Hermione," she announced, turning to me. "I figured you'd be alright sharing a room with Ron."
I could practically feel Celeste's cold stare burning into the back of my head as I smiled and nodded at Molly. "That's fine," I replied sweetly.
She leaned toward me and whispered, "If he gets unbearable, just let me know," ending her statement with a wink.
Hermione and Ginny gave me pitiful looks before entering Ginny's room, Celeste following close behind them with the most sour expression I'd ever seen on a person's face.
Celeste being upset about the arrangements made me rooming with Ron all the better.
"Looks like you're stuck with me," Ron sighed, dropping his bags in the doorway of his room and putting his hands in his pockets. "Sorry."
Yeah, "stuck with him." He says it like I'm dreading this.
"It's alright," I laughed, following him in and dropping my own bags next to his. "I'll manage."
"Ready to head out?" he asked once both of us had settled in.
I opened my mouth to respond, but Celeste burst into the room with a loud and obnoxious sigh and cut me off. "Can I come?" she asked in her usual high-pitched voice. She interlaced her fingers and settled her hands on Ron's shoulder, grinning at him.
"Sure. But I thought you already bought your presents?" he asked, uncomfortably shifting his weight as she leaned on him.
"I did, but I want to come," she answered, shooting a quick look at me before her eyes fell back on Ron's face innocently.
"Okay..." Ron replied skeptically, shrugging his shoulders to get her off of him and beginning to approach his door. "Let's go then."
I smiled to myself at Ron's obvious move and followed him down the stairs and over to the fireplace.
Ron stepped in first and I followed right behind him, the two of us staring at Celeste as she crept over in her heels which she had so poorly decided to wear today.
"Do we have to travel by floo?" she complained, studying the ash covered fireplace with a disgusted look on her face. "I already bathed in soot once today."
