"I – I'm here" Rin Ayame panted heavily as she stood with her hands placed on the top of her knees, trying to get her breath back after running from her house to the auto repair shop where she was supposed to be at that morning.

It was different. The last time when she had been here, there wasn't as much people and there was surely lesser cars to be fixed and today, standing in front of her while she was trying to catch her breath was a young man. No older than 25, staring down at her as he wiped his grease caked hands on his white tee shirt "Who are you looking for?" His voice was hoarse, the type that made the butterflies in her stomach squirm involuntarily

Rin looked around the shop, was she late? No, it couldn't be. She was only fifteen minutes late, in her defense "I'm looking for James, is he still here?" James owns the auto repair shop, her best friend of her childhood and brother in arms, there wasn't anything in life that they wouldn't do for each other

Before the man could say anything, James popped his head out from his wooden red office doors, waving his hands excitedly at his friend "Rinnie!" He yelled at her "Here! You're late but I saved the Rainbow Jelly Cakes for you!" They had been friends for as long as she can remember and despite being a little over thirty years old with a wife and a toddler, James was still full of life.

Rin's eyes caught his as she ran towards the office, a huge smile on her face as she saw him again. They had been separated for six months because James had to go over to another country to open up business there and he hasn't been back since yesterday and when he finally called her up and told her to meet him at his auto repair shop today, she was overjoyed.

"You're not going to believe this, Rinnie" James said as Rin sat down on the opposite side of him. The Rainbow Jelly Cakes was placed on the plate on his desk. He had bought them especially for Rin, knowing that she likes to eat sweet things and especially something as colourful as the cakes that he had bought "I striked a deal together with a tycoon at Hong Kong!"

Rin almost spitted bits of her cake out as she looked at her best friend "Are you even sure you can trust him though?" She tilted her head to the side, checking James for his reaction "Don't tell me anything that you might not – " She cut herself off, what was she even thinking? She should actually be happy for him now that he was finally taking a step forward in life instead of just staying here in this shop which he had inherited from his step father

James waved a hand at her "I was joking. Do you really think that I'll accept a deal from a Hong Kong tycoon? You know me better than that" He sat down on his comfy chair "Have you seen Bazz B? He's my new employee and – " He sighed, leaning back against of his chair "He's a handful to begin with"

"You're making it seem like you don't own this auto repair shop" Rin sat back in her chair as she munched on her cake, enjoying the sweet taste of it inside of her mouth

James sighed again, louder this time "I know that I own this repair shop but Bazz B – he's, I bet he doesn't even care about me. But he sure knows what he's doing here if he isn't always late to work" James seemed hopeful for a second "Which reminds me, he's still not here"

Rin giggled, her eyes looking around the small office. James sure do know how to decorate his office now that he can finally call it as his and not his step father's anymore "If you don't like him then you can jut fire him, you know"

The brown haired man shook his head "You do not understand the point, Rinnie. He's not someone that I should just simply fire because without him, we wouldn't be getting our jobs done nicely. He has the hands of a mechanic god" James moved back in his chair when the door to his office opened, he gapped at the person for a moment, his mouth falling apart slightly at the surprise "Holy mother of god; I was just talking about you, Bazz B"

Rin turned her head, her eyes meeting together with a pair of green ones. The man looks to be about 27, standing almost 6 feet in height, his red Mohawk was a little unkempt and slightly damaged, with two metal nuts pierced into his upper left ear and a bolt through his lower right ear. He snorted at James as he threw his card down on the table "Sign it" He said, seemingly unbothered that James had a guest

James took his card and took a pen out from underneath his desk "Why are you late again though?" He scribbled something on his card

Bazz B didn't even glance at Rin, his white jacket dangling loosely on his shoulder as he kept his gaze on James signing the card "Heavy traffic" It was a lie. Everyone in their right minds would know that it was a lie.

"Is that my fault?" James was playing on a deck of cards and Bazz B was the Ace of it.

He seemed unfazed as he took his card back from his employer "Did I blame you?" he was sarcastic, that was for sure. As he turned to leave, he glanced once at Rin who was still munching thoughtfully on her cake "What are you looking at?" His tone was sharp, almost like he was demanding an answer from her

James quickly intercepted between of the both of them, holding the plate of Rainbow Jelly Cakes to Bazz B as he tried to get his attention away from Rin "I know that you're in a bad mood today Bazz B but why don't you try one cake? It'll take your mind off of everything"

He was quick to turn on James, anger flashing before his very green eyes for a second "You know I hate eating sweets" He stormed out of the room, slamming the red door loudly behind of him as Rin kept her eyes on him, watching him as he threw his white jacket down on a table and rolled his sleeves up, revealing his lightly tanned skin "I'm just hoping that you'll be able to get along well together with him" James said as he sat back down on his chair "But just stay away from him if you can, I heard he's in a gang or something"

Rin glanced at James and then returned her gaze to the man with the mohawk "I think he is" She said "Did you see the arm band that he has on his jacket?"

James shook his head "No, I'm not very sure because he never wears his jacket. He just brings it here and wipes his sweat on it every little while. He keeps it folded too" He slid the card over to Rin "But here you go, you can start work today or anytime you want, Rinnie"

It wasn't actually her choice to work for her best friend, knowing that he would surely go easy on her but then again, she couldn't get a job and her brother was bugging her about it for the entire month after she had graduated from university and it was annoying to her. "I'll start today; you don't have to worry about me"

James smiled a little at her "I'm never worried about you, Rinnie but more like I'm worried about Bazz B. He doesn't take very well to new comers"

"I can shoot him with the 'I'm friends together with you and he's not' card" Rin grinned at the brunette "But anyways, James, I'm sure I can just get along fine together with him"

"I hope"
