If you don't pay up by today, we'll pay you a visit in the evening
Rin sighed, placing her phone back down on her office desk. She wanted to type in that they have to wait for James to come home, to come back to America, before she can do anything. She didn't even know what debt it was to begin with that James just had to connect it to her phone, expecting her to know what it was but she doesn't. She never did.
It was the second time that she had received this debt collection message. Once last month and once this week. The first time, she had brushed them off by telling them that James hasn't been back at America since leaving and he wasn't answering any of her calls or her texts to end with. She didn't know where he is or what he is doing but she does know that it was her job to keep the auto repair shop at its very best with a lot of customers flooding in every single day.
Her relationship together with Bazz B had spiraled. The man seemed more open with talking to her now and he would go to extends to ask her out for dinner even when it was just hamburgers and fries, Rin enjoyed spending time together with him. After their first kiss, it had managed to bring the both of them closer to each other but since he didn't ask and she was too shy to ask him about it, she wasn't sure if they were both a thing or not.
"Hey" Bazz B opened the door to her office, his white jacket dangling on his shoulder again as he placed the card on her table "What's up? You seem stressed out"
Rin pursed her lips, grabbing her pen and scribbling her signature on the small boxes. For the past month ever since they kissed, Rin had been scribbling hearts on his card instead of just signing it like she usually does and he doesn't seem to notice because he doesn't pay enough attention to the card that he was holding almost every single day. "It's nothing" She paused, placing her pen back down on her desk "Does James have any debts under this company's name?"
Bazz B shrugged his shoulders; this gesture was a bad habit of his. He knew that it was rude to just shrug his shoulders but he couldn't care less about it "Not that I know of" He moved back, grabbing the card from her
The brunette blinked questionably at him before grabbing his wrist, stopping him from leaving "Do you think maybe it has something to do with –"
"James would tell me if he has any debts at hand" Bazz B looked at her, his green eyes suddenly turned soft "Hey" He said, getting her attention "Is there something wrong?"
Rin shook her head, releasing her grip on his wrist "No, no, it's nothing. I'm just wondering but –"
"Kiss me" It came out as shocking to Rin as she stared at him, eyes unblinking. They hadn't kissed anymore after that day and it was – Bazz B clicked his tongue softly at her "You're scared aren't you?"
Rin looked away for a moment before quickly leaning up and giving him a peck on the lips. A blush made its way to her cheeks, rosy red when he grabbed her by the waist, pulling her closer to him as he closed the gap between of the both of them. She was afraid, something which she had told herself numerous times before that she shouldn't be.
When he pulled away, he took a quick step back, winking at her "Those lips still taste as nice as a month ago" He commented as he pulled the door of her office open and stepped out, leaving a dazed Rin by herself.
She watched him walk over to where Jugo is; mesmerized by the way his lips moved with every single word he said, Rin went back over to her desk, glancing at her phone which had another blue notification light again. She didn't dare click on it this time as she just stared at it. Bazz had said that he doesn't know about any debts, she thought to herself, or should she just call her brother and tell him about it?
