"Everyone better be dressed cause it's way too early in the morning to be seeing Slytherin ass and I'm coming in!"

Pushing the wooden door open cautiously with my bat, I step into the boys changing room. Thankfully they're all dressed and are now either stretching or sanding down their brooms.

"Don't worry, Aster," Anthony replies, flexing his muscles at me. "I know you're disappointed but we're all clothed."

I gently push his face away with my hand, laughing at his cocky demeanour. Hopefully he can't see that I'm overflowing with nerves.

"Huddle up!" I shout at the group. They gather around and I wait until everyone is listening. "Ravenclaws know the rulebook inside out and upside down. They know loopholes that we don't. They're defence is some of the best I've seen, but that also means that their offence is lacking." I point at the new Keeper with my bat. "Laurens, when the ball is down the other end in our possession, press up and act as help – they won't be able to outfly you if there's a fast break. Zabini, you and I will focus on distracting their Chasers, maybe we'll try getting away with injuring one or two. Black, work your magic and don't for one second lose sight of that ball." I take a large breath in. "What are Ravenclaws' best feature?"

"Their stealth?"

"Their passing?"

"The Keeper's tits?"

"No Cyrus."

"Their mind?"

"Exactly Reggie. Their mind. So fuck with it as much as possible; make up shit that doesn't even make sense, throw them off their game. If we do that then it's a guaranteed win." I put my hand in and the others follow suit. "Snakes on three. One. Two. Three."

"SNAKES!" I'm sure can be heard even over the roaring crowd outside.

We make our way to just outside the entrance to the pitch, nerves and excitement coursing through my veins. I've always felt like Quidditch is my escape. My father doesn't care how it ends. I don't even think he knows that I'm on the team. It doesn't matter to me. For once in my life I can be out of his clutches, even if it's just for a few hours a week. Quidditch has given me a purpose all these years. I created history the day I joined this team. Salazar, I made history the day that I went to the tryouts. What we do today will be remembered for generations to come. I just hope it's because the first female Captain of Slytherin brought her team to victory and not because they ate shit and lost horribly.
