Most hate Slug Club meetings. It's understandable – an evening filled with awkward chatter, Slughorn's ramblings and somehow sticky ice cream. It's extremely boring.

That is, unless you're friends with me.

Regulus slings an arm over my shoulder, showing off that he's tall enough to do that now. Severus and Christopher walk beside us as we all make our way to Slughorn's meeting. We chatter and laugh the whole way and it feels good to even attempt forgetting my betrothal.

Ever since that day, Mulciber has been clinging to me like a leech; sitting beside me at meals just so that he can rest his hand on my thigh or catching up to me in the corridors just to wrap a filthy arm around my waist. The worst thing is that I can do nothing about it. My father will be notified if I resist and then the repercussions will be even worse than being with Mulciber. One thing that's surprising is that the seventh year hasn't made any moves further than simply laying a hand on me. Maybe he knows what's good for him.

Luckily, Professor Slughorn does not want to be associated with Death Eaters – I'm sure rumours have been floating around the castle halls – and because of this Mulciber won't be attending any more meetings. Although neither will Cyrus as his family are currently under investigation. Little does old Sluggy know that he's already invited three future Death Eaters to the party.

"My Slytherins!" exclaims the already tipsy Potions teacher as we enter the large room. He bounces over to us with a large grin. "How lovely that you could all make it. Shame about Zabini," he says quiter, turning more solemn. "I hope all of this is just a big misunderstanding. I do love the stories he tells."

We agree politely but I manage to escape when he sinks his claws into poor Severus, talking about his recent Potion scores. I hug both Lily and Remus who stand by their chairs around the large circular table. The latter winces slightly but I pick up on it. Of course, the full moon was only two nights ago.

"I'll never understand why Potter and Black would want to miss out on such events like this," Lily proclaims with a disapproving shake of her head. "Such a waste of an invitation."

"Guess they don't wanna ruin their bad boy reputations," I shrug whilst sipping on some pumpkin juice.

Remus chuckles lightly. "Bad boys. Sure. You should see how long they both spend in the mirror each morning. It's surprising they even leave the dorm before dinner with the amount of preening they do."
