I hop out of my seat and collect a couple of galleons from the boys along with their orders. The compartment door slides open and I poke my head out searching for a certain sweet filled trolley.

With no luck, I step out and begin to walk down the train corridor. I pass groups of students, some telling stories to their friends after being apart for months and others desperately trying to create bonds between each other before making their Hogwarts debut. Many students even break away from their conversations just to look at me. If I'm being perfectly honest, I'm not a big fan of all the stares I get on a daily basis.

I pass one compartment that catches my eye. Inside are none other than the infamous Marauders.

Potter throws his head back with laughter at something one of the others said.

The thing about James, is that I've never gotten on with him – mainly because of the rivalry between him and Sev. I will always come to my friend's defence. As a result of this I feel like myself and James just aren't meant to be around each other. His arrogance and ego seems to always take over. He's been pining after Lily since second year when they were once placed as partners for a group assignment in Flitwick's class. She finds it extremely aggravating, and he should learn when he's not wanted instead of persisting to the point of obsession.

Sirius runs a hand through his dark hair whilst giving Potter a lopsided grin.

Sirius changed since he first met the other Marauders. He became a troublemaker, part taking in many pranks and even more detentions. I won't lie, he's attractive. So are the other members of their group but he's got a beauty about him, probably because he's from the noble house of Black who are known for their elegance and looks. He holds his title triumphantly as the 'Hogwarts Heartthrob'. Most of those hearts end up broken after he gets bored and moves onto the next female who thinks they'll be the one to 'change him'.

Remus Lupin's eyes scan the page of a book but I can see a small smile on his lips, giving away that he is in fact listening into the conversation around him.

People think that Remus is more mature than the others because of his exceedingly good grades and absence from detention, unlike the others. This is not the case. He's more involved in planning and creating pranks instead of the actual execution. He's simply smart enough to avoid getting caught. Without him, their pranks would fail miserably. I've learnt this from years of observing the way he scribbles down and coordinates plans if he's managed to finish class work early.

He wears three faded scars across his face and I'm sure many more litter his body. He's a werewolf. I know this because they aren't great at keeping secrets. For example, he misses classes for days at a time, the other boys always seems to mention his 'time of the month', his nickname is Moony and he always seems drained a week before he goes MIA. Of course, he doesn't know that I've figured out his secret and I won't be telling him that I know until he comes to me. Some confidential matters are meant to be revealed by their owners, and not others around them.
