Natsu's POV
"LUCY!!!"
I jerked awake. Oh, it was just a dream. But... Luce is still gone... I looked around. Everyone was asleep. I laid back gone, hoping to go back to sleep. No such luck. I felt the urge to go outside for whatever reason. I slowly got up, careful not to wake anyone, and tiptoed out of the room.
I went outside, into the cool night air. No one was around, since it was very late. I started walking. So many thoughts were going through my head. Lucy Lucy Lucy Lucy and... Lucy. I quickly shook my head. She's gone, Natsu, I told myself. She won't come back no matter what you do. Unconsciously, I had started walking towards the Eclipse Gate. That's when I heard voices.
"I sure hope they won't get in our way." Someone said. "That's why Mistress and her four friends joined the Grand Magic Games. I hear that they only got in the seventy thousands."
"Ah! The Mistress must be lagging."
"We have a mission, can anyone remember what it is?" A sharp voice said.
"We have to find Lucinda Heartfilia DeGel." Someone said. My ears suddenly perked up as they talked about Lucy.
"Exactly." That sharp voice said again.
"Isn't she dead though?" Another person asked.
"No, she's still alive."
The next day...
Canissa's POV
I looked over at Natsu. He seemed... off. He was constantly staring off into space. "Natsu, are you... okay?" I asked.
He looked at me. "Uh.. yeah... I guess." He muttered. This is so not his style.
"Natsu. Are you okay?!" I yelled at him.
He glared at me. "I said I'm fine." He growled. I was kind of taken back. Where's the idiotic, fun-loving, heroic, Natsu my sister grew to love?
"You're obviously not." I said sassily.
"Keep that sass down. The games are beginning." He glared at the sky... and frowned? That's... plain weird. Oh whatever. I guess I have to pay more attention to the games. I looked over at Mato.
"Well, we officially decided that we will onlly have one battle each day, kabo." Mato began. "Anyways, Fallen Angels is in the lead with fifteen points! Up next is Fairy Tail with twelve points! After that, Sabertooth with four points, then Mermaid Heel with one, and finally, Lamia Scale with zero! Kabo!"
"Today, our event is called Endurance Race. You can probably tell from the name that it's a race. The race will be one hundred miles. You can take all the time you need. There is no rules. Please choose your members that is participating and go inside to the transportation lacrima."
"Who's going? I asked.
"Not you or Erza." Gajeel growled. "It's our turn."
"How 'bout you go?" Erza asked.
"Sure, geehee." Gajeel did his weird laugh.
Natsu's POV
Lucy... Luce... she's still alive? But where is she? Why is she not coming back to Fairy Tail? "I'm coming right back." I said before walking outside the Domas Flau. Once I got outside, I hurried over to the broken Eclipse Gate.
"Lucy!" I screamed. "If you can hear me, please, just listen to me! I'm sorry for whatever I did!I wish you can come back... LUCE!!!" Other people looked at me as if I was out of my mind. I didn't mind them. I suddenly remembered something. Isn't old master Crux very smart? Maybe he knows something about Lucy. I ran back to the colosseum.
Gajeel's POV
"Alright, here's the participants! Gajeel from Fairy Tail! Kagura from Mermaid Heel! Rufus from Sabertooth! Cheria from Lamia Scale! And from Fallen Angels, Silas!" The rather annoying pumpckin, Mato, exclaimed.
Silas is the man with platinum colored. He has a stern expression, but I can tell he cares deeply for his comrades. Geehee. "I gonna win this." I grinned. Everyone else nodded approvingly. I noticed that the Salamander ain't here. I shrugged it off.
I went down to the teleport lacrima. I stood inside and slowly teleported over to one hundred miles away from the colosseum. I got there and went out. I hurriedly ran towards the colosseum. I saw Rufus up ahead. I quickly turned into a shadow and surpassed Rufus. After that, I managed to pass Kagura and Cheria. Silas was nowhere to be seen. I shouldn't care. If I already passed him, then all the better.
After what I think is eighty seven miles, I crashed into a rune-like thing. I hit it hard too. I fell onto the ground. "Ah, be careful there, Gajeel-san." Someone said. I looked up and saw Silas.
"You looking for a fight, pipsqueak?!" I asked angrily.
"No, I just have to stop you from accelerating." Silas replied.
"Well, I guess if I defeat you now, it will stop you from accelerating." I smirked, "Geehee." I added.
"You know, I'm also a dragon slayer." Silas smirked.
"What?!" I exclaimed as I narrowed my eyes.
"I have proof." Silas chuckled slightly. "Roar of the Silver Dragon!" A large silver beam of laser like stuff got shot at me. I quickly dodged.
"Your pretty good, pipsqueak." I said as I swiftly kicked him. He did a neat backflip and didn't look like he received any injuries.
"Silver Dragons Crushing Fang!" Silas attacked again. This attack hit me but thank goodness my body is made out of iron, I only received minor injuries.
"That does it, pipsqueak, I'm serious." I growled.
"I was serious all of this time. Don't take me as a joke, Gajeel-san. I'm way stronger than you." Silas said patiently.
"Roar of the Iron Dragon!" I roared.
"Roar of the Silver Dragon!" Our roars collided and we were seeing who can last longer. I started to get tired but I have to hold longer.
Finally, I couldn't take it anymore and stopped, which was a bad idea since Silas' roar hit me.That actually gave me major injuries. I was left spawled on the ground. Silas came over to me. I pretended to be unconscious.
"Your not really that strong, Gajeel-san." He said. "Well then, I'll be taking my leave."
"Roar of the Iron Dragon!" I surprise attacked him. He swiftly did a backflip again and received minor injuries -a few cuts- that surprised me.
"I'm not going to fall for you child play." Silas said. "The others are catching up, I'll be taking my leave."
"Oh no you're not!" I growled. "Roar of the Iron Dragon! Iron Dragons Crushing Fang! Iron Dragons Wind Slash!" I attacked him but missed... on purpose. I actually meant to hit the ground beneath him, causing a huge hole.
He fell into it and, like I predicted, the runes vanished. I turned into a shadow again and got to the colosseum in no time. When I got there, I smiled proudly. I got first place. I inspected the colosseum to make sure that I was first. There was one person there.
Silas with no injuries at all.
