Canissa's POV
What can I do? Nee-chan is dead. I looked at the spot where she was standing just a second ago. The soft rain drizzled down, beating on the cement ground. My eyes were wide. No one was talking. Of course, they wouldn't know what to say. I swallowed a huge lump in my throat. I blinked twice. Was I just dreaming? Was I? Maybe I am just dreaming, maybe nee-chan isn't dead. I knelt down, staring at the ground. Not because it was particularly interesting, just because I was thinking about my life.
"Canissa..." Zeref-nii whispered.
"Don't talk to me." I said coldly, still not looking up.
It was all his fault nee-chan is dead. If he hadn't turned evil, no one would have had to stop him. If he was strong enough to ignore Zinic's evil spell, he wouldn't have turned evil. It's all his fault. I blame him. I hate him. I won't ever forgive him and I mean it. If nee-chan ever comes back, I still won't forgive him. I started to repeatedly hit the cement ground. My hand might be bleeding but I don't care. If me suffering means nee-chan coming back, I'd gladly hurt myself.
"Canissa." Celestia said sternly. "Don't hurt yourself. That's the last thing your sister wants, right?"
I suddenly couldn't hold it in anymore. I broke down, I started crying like there's no tomorrow because I know, without nee-chan, there's no real tomorrow for me. I couldn't feel anything except for my suffering. Tears were streaming down my face. My eyesight was blurry. I couldn't see anything.
"Cani..." Laxus muttered, for he, too, was depressed that nee-chan's dead. "There's no changing fate. We must accept it. Like your sister said, be happy, live even though she's not there. Make her proud."
"If I could change fate," I growled. "I would make nee-chan live and Zeref die."
"But you can't change fate." Celestia said softly. "Letting Zeref live was your sister's will. If she didn't want Zeref to live, then she wouldn't have purified him."
"If she was alive, I'm sure she would want you to live happily. I think she would have preferred you liking Zeref." Grandine soothed.
"Well that's the problem." I said flatly. "She isn't alive, courtesy to Zeref."
"I-" Zeref got interrupted by me.
"You what. You're sorry? Well if you're sorry, why don't you bring her back to life?" I asked coldly.
"Don't speak to him like that." Lightning scolded. "He is your brother, after all."
"I don't need a evil brother." I replied.
"Your sad? Well then, cry a river, build a bridge, and get over it!" Mozou shot at me.
"Mozou, the last thing we need is for your non-existent comfort." Celestia said.
"Well, actually, it's true." Igneel said.
"I think she wants to be alone." Grandine said softly.
"At least go to some shelter. You'll catch a cold." Celestia warned.
"I don't care." I muttered. "I don't care. I don't care. I don't care."
My mind is blank. I couldn't think straight. Having a family member die is huge. I wouldn't mind if Zeref died because in my heart, he's not a family member.
Celestia sighed.
Celestia's POV
Poor child. I looked up in the sky. Lucy, if you can hear me now, please, comfort Canissa. I looked back down at Canissa. I sighed. My eyes moved to the spot Lucy disappeared. I caught something shiny. What might it be? I slowly walked over to check. My eyes widened at what it was.
