Canissa's POV
Master stared intently at me, his eyes showing nothing but concern. He also seemed to have a tint of sadness and anger mixed together as well. News will spread like wildfire.
"It is very unfortunate, to lose one of my children like that. However, I most deeply concerned in you." He said.
"I'm fine, thank you." I said stiffly.
"We all know that you're not." He said.
"I really am." I insisted. The last thing I wanted was the whole guild showing me pity.
"Whatever you say, child." He sighed.
It was followed by an uncomfortable silence. I wanted to be dismissed. I didn't want to be at the guild. At all. All I wanted was to be in my dorm on Fairy Hills. No, I also want nee-chan to be back. Yes, that's what I want. I don't really know what to do. She was my only family. Sure, Laxus and Zeref are also part of my family, but I despise Zeref, and Laxus has his own family, so I feel neglected.
"Master..." I said, finally breaking the silence. "I don't know what to do."
"What do you mean?" He asked.
"Without nee-chan, I feel neglected. Laxus-nii has his own family, and I despise Zeref." I said.
"Cani, you still have us, Fairy Tail." Master said, determined. That was followed by another silence.
"Master, can I go now?" I asked.
"No wait. I need to ask you something." Master suddenly said. I nodded at Master meaning that he may begin.
Master stared at me for a while, but then shook his head. "Never mind, would you please send Laxus in?"
"Uh sure." I muttered.
I walked out. Laxus-nii, probably bored of the guild members mourning, was upstairs drinking booze. He seemed to be spacing off. His eyes were a little moist. Of course since he's the oldest, he's supposed to care for everyone. Too bad. It was always nee-chan who seemed more mature. I stared at him intently. He didn't move and I don't think he's even breathing. He's not drinking his booze. I sighed and gave up.
"Laxus-nii, Master wants you." I said blankly.
He studied my look for a minute and sighed. He nodded and went inside Master's office. I slowly made my way downstairs. The whole guild looked miserable. It was true that nee-chan was the shining light of the guild. No one was smiling. No one was drinking, and no one was fighting.
I tried my best not to break down as I slowly walked outside. After I felt for sure they couldn't see me, I started crying. Uncontrollably. I was sobbing so hard. My whole body ached. I fell down. I couldn't see anything. My eyesight was blurry. My head was pounding. I saw nothing but pitch black.
Erza's POV
I wasn't sure if Cani was okay or not, so I followed her. I saw her breaking down and then, she toppled over and fell. I rushed over to her. Her hair was covering her face. I brushed some hair aside. She looked terrible. Her eyes were red and puffy. She was very pale. Her face was tear-streaked. Her eyes were closed. I checked her pulse and relief. She was alive.
I carried her back to Fairy Hills. She was very light. I entered Fairy Hills Dorms and went to her room. Thank goodness it wasn't locked. I put her on her bed. I sighed. Poor girl. I looked at her. She reminded me very much of Lucy, though their look is different, their personality is very much the same.
I remembered Lucy. Of all the fun times we had. I remembered all the adventures, Lullaby, Galuna Island, Fantasia Parade, Phantom Lord, Tower of Heaven, and so much more. Unconsciously, I had started crying. To calm myself, I went back to the guild. I walked in. The whole guild stared up at me with sad eyes.
"Listen! We all neglected Lucy seven years ago!" I shouted. "But we still love her as our family. She's our shining star. Now she's DEAD! Do you have anything to say?! What have we done?! Is this really the guild known for loving their members?!" Everyone stared at me with surprised eyes. Slowly, and gradually, everyone started crying.
"Now, let's at least give her a proper death." I slowly said, my voice quivering.
"B-but E-erza-san, w-we d-don't h-h-have L-Lucy-san's b-body." Wendy stammered, crying.
"It's okay. We can still have a funeral." I said. "Mira, would you please go take care of Cani?"
"H-Hai!" Mira muttered, her perfect face streaked with tears.
Mira's POV
I asked Kinana to take over. I hurried to put on my coat. I looked outside. It was storming. The sky was dark, very dark. I uneasily looked around for an umbrella.
"Mira, I'm coming with you." Laxus said, coming out of no where. I mean, Master's office.
"No, I'm going to Fairy Hills. Males aren't allowed there." I replied.
"Actually, I was thinking of Cani moving in with us." He grunted.
"That's actually a nice idea." I said.
Laxus nodded.
Two months later...
Third Person's POV
Cani had moved in with Laxus and Mira. Today is the day of Lucy's funeral. The guild really wasn't really the same anymore. Fairy Tail was now known as the quiet guild. The Grand Magic Games starts next week. Fairy Tail is only joining to prove to the council that they aren't dead, as the council says.
Canissa's POV
The rain drizzled down repeatedly. Everyone was there. Fairy Tail, the twelve Zodiac Spirits, Crux, Horologium, Lyra, Plue, Pyxis, Sabertooth, Lamia Scale, Mermaid Heel, the Council, Dorenbolt, Lahar, some Rune Knights, and Zeref. The Council will be arresting Zeref after the funeral. I stared at the tombstone that said:
Lucy Heartfilia
x767-x798
Celestial Spirit Wizard
Fairy Tail's Shining Light
Loving Sister
Rest In PeaceI stared at it. It was sad to even look at it. Tears once again streamed down my face. This is probably the millionth time that happened over the last two months. I couldn't help it anymore. I ran. Into the forest. Tears streaming down my face.
"Cani!" The people behind me shouted.
I didn't care anymore. I ran and ran. I suddenly tripped and stumbled. I laid on the ground, not moving, and crying.
