Two World's Meet

Interrogations part 1

Annabeth's PoV
Why me? There comes a point in every demigod's life where they have to ask themselves that simple question. Why must I constantly be put in danger. I mean, I thought that after defeating Gaea we might actually get a break. These people, whoever they are, certainly aren't going to let that happen. Well, I suppose this time to use one of my favorite tactics. Distract, and delay the oncoming attackers.

"OMG!" I squealed, trying to make my voice sound that of a stupid blonde, "You could have killed him."

"No Annabeth," he knew my name that was a bad sign, "that's a blunt arrow, it would have knocked him out and giving him a pretty nasty bruise, but it would not kill him." This guy obviously thought he had it all figured out. Suddenly there was a green haze in the air. I realized, a moment too late, not to breathe.

I saw my friends, one by one, drop to the ground, unconscious. My last action before falling unconscious myself was glaring at the woman who had released the mist. I knew that this was far from over.

Fury's PoV

I was very pleased when my team came back with all of the children that they were sent out to get. We were all sitting in the observation room, where the camera feeds of all of the investigation rooms were located. As we waited for the children to sleep off the effects of the toxin Natasha released in the air I decided I needed to divvy up who would be interrogating who.

" Tony, you will be interrogating Nico di Angelo. Steve, you will be interrogating Percy Jackson. Natasha, you will be interrogating Annabeth Chase. Clint, you will be interrogating Frank Zhang. Wanda, you will be interrogating Hazel Levesque. Sam, you will be interrogating Jason Grace. Rhodes, you will be interrogating Piper McLean. Peter, you will be interrogating Will Solace." The young boy shifted uncomfortably at this. I understood why. The boy I was sending him to interrogate was around his age. which would make things harder for him to do his job. Seeing that Will Solace may not see him as a authoritative figure. Just then the potential threats started waking up.

" I will stay here and watch your interactions." They all nodded even though they knew that left Calypso girl had no interrogating her. They didn't think too much of it seeing they were all wearing power dampening handcuffs. " Steve you interrogate Percy first, the rest of you may stay here with me and watch this interrogation."

Steve left through without complaint. We all watched the screen as he walked into the interrogation room that Percy Jackson was looking around as if trying to find any weaknesses.

" Hello" Steve said with fake cheerfulness in his voice. As Steve opened his mouth to say more Percy Jackson butted in.

" Why did you bring us here, what have we done" he said as if begging for an answer to his question. Steve sat down in the chair across from Percy Jackson.

" Actually quite a bit" at this the Jackson boy just glared at him.

"Please let me go let me see my Annabeth!" He said this as of being away from that girl caused him physical pain. Steve picked up on this too. He looked at him for a moment. Jackson then closed his eyes and allowed a single tear to fall from one of them.

" What's wrong," Steve asked in a worried almost fatherly tone. Percy just shook his head. More tears falling from his eyes. " Please just tell me what's wrong!"
The boy made a hiccuping sound and sobbed " I don't want her to be alone, it seems that every time we are apart something horrible happens..." There was a long pause but the boy obviously had more to say " I guess not so great things happen when we're together too. But then at least we have each other. So please let me see my Annabeth" His voice was so soft for this final sentence everyone in the room had to lean in to hear it, but what we heard was utter despair. As if the boy was lost in the thought of all the things that have happened.

" Get him to tell you what "things" he is taking about. " I whispered in the earpiece that let me communicate with Steve.

" Percy I want to help you, but I need you to tell me who you are in a couple things about you first." Steve said this with a kind and gentle tone. I believed that he did want to help the boy and I guess that that was true. The super soldier always had a soft spot for people that seemed broken. I figured that him seeing a boy fall into tears was enough to make him feel at least some pity. Percy looked up at his words.

" As-as l-long as y-you don't hurt her," he paused then added " or my other friends, you can do whatever you want with me." By the end of the sentence he sounded as if he truly no longer cared about his own life but only that of his friends. As Cap realized this too, I could tell, he decided that no harm would come to this boy or his friends at least if they did not try to escape. My thoughts were confirmed as Steve said what my thought was. Percy just nodded at this.

" Percy," Cap said with a gentle yet firm tone, " Can you just tell me a bit about yourself"

"What do you want to know" The boy replied seeming to have regained his composure for the moment.

"First off can you tell me about your family"

" I have my mom, Sally, my stepdad Paul, my little sister, and my Annabeth."

" You include Annabeth has part of your family?" Cap questioned.

" Yeah" The kid said with a slight chuckle " We've both agreed to marry each other as soon as we finish with college"

" But you're so young!" Cap said completely shocked by the thought of such a young man getting married. " I thought people went to they were older to be married in this time" Cap said muttering to himself. The kid then seemed to be lost completely in thought, and didn't speak again. the boy didn't even seem to hear Steve asking him questions. Eventually Steve just left, realizing the boy wasn't going to tell him anything else.

" Natasha, you need to go talk to Chase, now." I ordered. She nodded and quickly made her way to Chase's room. When she opened the door, the blonde-haired girl gave her a look of fear before crying out in desperation

"Don't hurt him!"
