I woke up with the sound of suitcases hitting the pavement. I rushed to my balcony in hopes that it was mother and father's arrival but to even worsen my chagrin I saw Benjamin loading his things into the carriage. I stared in shock and after a few minutes we made eye contact and I signaled him to wait.

I grabbed my coat over my nightgown and went downstairs with heavy footsteps. I was hoping for him to tell me that those weren't for him but as I drew closer to the carriage the initials on the suitcase told me otherwise.

"You know I wish to never leave. You know."

He stared deeply into my eyes that I'm afraid it's intensity might cause me to break into tears.

"You know how I feel about goodbyes with no explanations. Why did-" He cut me off and dragged me away from the prying ears. We ended up by the swing underneath Paris.

"It was sudden! I swear when we received the letter this morning that's the only time I have started packing. You know you are special to me right. I would never wish to be away Adellyne but my Aunt is sick. I know you understand." He said in a pleading voice and I kept silent as I fought my tears back. I hated this feeling but at least I got my explanation.

"You deserve more than this. I'd be taking care of my aunt as I work by the stables.... It's by the far south of the country so the letters might not come by as fast as I'd wish." He was about to hold my hand but Letizia called him and said the carriage is ready to leave.

He started walking away from me but I pulled him back into a hug, tiptoeing as I whispered "Never forget to write."

I loosened my hug andsmiled at him then I turned my back for at that moment my tears felluncontrollably and I didn't want him to see how selfish I was for wanting himto stay
