It was a bright and wonderful morning. The garden was filled with flowers just like how Adelynne wanted it to be. Calla Lilies were scattered everywhere.
She was beautiful. She was wearing her wedding dress and anyone who'll see her will say the same. She was truly wonder full. They braided her blonde hair with flowers that matched her pink lush lips that made her ethereal. She was clutching the bouquet of her favorite flowers in between her hands.
Sir Alrich Brian Rossfield's eyes were beginning to well up as the distance between them decreases. He broke down in tears as soon as she was in front of him. He took her hands and kissed them before placing a ring on her finger right on top of the first ring he bought her. The day he wished for and the day he feared came together on this morning.
"I love you too. Always. Please wait for me." He leaned down to whisper in her ear. It was his response for the engraving on his watch that says I will wait for you. Take your time.
This brought everyone to tears. Deeply touched by the love they have.
Mrs. Beaufort fell to her seat as she witnesses the moment they feared. Her husband who was drawing circles around her back to calm her was struggling to hold back his own tears
People started forming a line to give her flowers. Cynder Johnson was present and was among the people who was in line. She was nervous to see her childhood best friend again. She clutches a letter in her hand instead of a flower. She placed it upon her and left. The space where Cynder stood was occupied by Benjamin.
Benjamin was slightly sweaty seeing that he ran to the event the moment he got out of the train. He gave her a bouquet of roses he bought from the market with the little money he had left. He smiled at her beautiful face before he took her hand in his and squeezed it for a fleeting moment then he lets go wiping his tears with his sleeves as he went.
They've read the letters Adellyne wrote for them. She wrote each for her love one. For her parents to never blame themselves for not curing her and telling them to spend their lives in joy, for Benjamin to find the love he deserves, for Oceane and Scarlette to remain their bright and precious selves, for Aldrich to remember that she have always chosen him and she'll do it all over again if she ever have to and that he should love again.
She left the letters that painful night together with the scribble on her journal by her nightstand.
She wrote...
I love you Brian.
Aldrich found her in the morning laying on the floor right before the doorway. The breakfast he was supposed to serve her was forgotten and crashed on the wooden floors as he rushed towards her. He felt for a pulse. There was none. He desperately shouted for help that created chaos in the household as he tried to revive her. He was muttering pleases and denial as he continues his futile attempt to save his love.
Mr. And Mrs. Beaufort came to the doorway and Elounor immediately fell to the floor seeing her beloved daughter lifeless. The glass shards were impaled into her legs but no physical pain was greater than the pain she was experiencing. Mr. Beaufort clutched the door for support. The whole household was drowned in sorrow as the news of the bride's death weighed upon their hearts. Aldrich screamed in agony. They realized that she knew all along and she might've kept her fears and pain to herself for their sake. She might've battled it alone when she was in pain. They'll never know.
The was the only time she didn't wait for him.
