Our relatives from the other towns started pouring in for the marriage tomorrow. The Manor is getting packed with guests. Children began playing along the garden and there are never ending tips from aunts in regard to managing the household.
Mother brought me to the town to helps her in buying new plates and decorations for tomorrow.
"Adellyne, my love. Do you need something anything at all?" Mother called my attention.
"Mother, you will take care of yourself, Father and Crabbe if I went away right?" I asked with a smile.
"What kind of a question is that? I'll take care of all of you of course. Now take what you need and let's go home." She said reassuringly.
I remembered I only have one page left in my journal. I grabbed a leather covered journal.
"I hope I'll be able to write a good year with this." I muttered to myself.
The ride back home was fun. Mother was excited for the wedding and she was lively. She seemed healthier than before and that was a big relief.
I wasn't able to see Aldrich today since he was also busy with his family. I took my journal from the tree trunk and headed back to my room as soon as we arrived. After changing my clothes, I sat by my desk and started writing on my journal writing about my day and made a wish.
I wish to only have good memories for my next journal.
I move to write on my newly purchased journal. I inhaled the scent of the fresh parchment before I wrote the date for tomorrow and placed it on the night stand. The events of the day finally caught up with my body and I fell into a dream.
I woke up in the middle of the night. I was having difficulties to breathe. I reached to ring the bell by the nightstand but it slipped through my fingers and rolled off. I tried to find it but it was a difficult task when the darkness of the nights engulfs the room. My breathing is labored as I clutch my chest with the pain. It must be today. I scrambled to reach my journal hastily scribbled a message.
I took heavy steps towards the door before falling on my knees and after a few moments of struggle I felt myself falling into an abyss.
