It's a new school year and it's been months since Benjamin left the town. I kept my self-occupied by the library as I await either Benjamin's letter or my Parent's.

Swoosh. A notebook went flying in air as I was about to enter the first class in my new schedule, it landed on my feet.

"I'm so sorry I didn't mean to." Scarlette Agaphe came rushing to me, eyes full of worry. I think this was the first time I heard her speak even though we were on the same class last year.

"I'm perfectly fine. No need to worry about it." I told her.

"You should sit beside us." She's offered a chair which I gladly accepted.

I smiled for some reason. I thought the world is closing in on me, I was even prepared to succumb in but now I feel like doors are flying open in front of me. Like a fresh start.

Oceane Lamiere then faux-whispered to me her curly brunette hair tickling my cheeks.

"It flew because Scarlette has a great crush on William Marquis." she said.

"No! I do not! He doesn't even exist." Scarlette interjected, her face red.

We all then started laughing. After a great amount of time I laughed. I was laughing again.

"Come with me! It seems like you're our new friend now. No one ever laughs at our jokes." She said smiling.

She then tugged my hand and took me to a secluded place in the garden. The sun is smiling down on us. It was a peaceful in here. Birds seems to sing a love song and as though flowers welcome me with their sweet scent.

"We are in our secret garden. That girl beside you is Scarlette she's shy but you should wait. I'm Oceane."

Oceane is so friendly I can't help but come along, everywhere she goes someone would call her and say warm greetings.

"Scarlette, Meet Adellyne Beaufort. Adellyne meet Scarlette Agaphe."

Scarlette's rounded face was lit with a sleepy smile.

"So why did you decided to study here?" Oceane asked.

"Uh- My old friend and I thought it would be great for us to study here."

But I guess we thought wrong.

"Oh. Who is your friend then?" Oceane pulled something from the basket Scarlette is leaning on trying to sleep again.

"Muffins?" She asked. I took one.

"Hmm.... It's just history." I said answering her previous question and took a bite.

I then let the soft, moist, sweet muffin take over my mouth.

"Well, whoever she is I'm pretty sure you will mend things with her soon enough." Oceane said in an assuring voice.

Will I? Because the days I've spent without her, days I felt lonely and bare, days that I needed someone made me realize that I too can stand on my own. That I can live through life with people passing through me like a wild river. I guess I need to thank Cynder for if not for her I wouldn't be able to learn how to not feel lonely when I'm all alone.
