We, writers or stories, have to always keep in mind that authenticity doesn't only reflects legality. It is a basis of creative mind that wills to show another level, another realm of another story that no one has ever read before.
Inflict this style in your dialogues, for example, on how your protaginists talk. On scenes, where you insert unexpected ones or something that can trigger the impression of the reader.
