CHAPTER 27

"A Kid?!."

Up in the branches was a kid, about 9 years of age. He was wearing a worn out shirt with a ragged jumper.

"Hey, come down, you said you want to help us but how?." I asked.

"I'll tell you how, but first buy me some food, I'm hungry." the little boy replied.

"Bullshit, we don't have money no thanks." Hiroshi said while getting back to sleep in tree root.

"Oh yeah? How come you have a Mucra in your pocket?." the little boy asked.

"What Mucra, you're talking nonsense." Hiroshi replied.

"Oh so there's none, I thought you have that pass since I saw you guys last day tying Don Simon here in the Mine."

"What?."

"What?."

"Hey, how did you know?." I asked.

"Uhm I dunno, probably I was here that day you tied Don Simon duhhh common sense." The boy replied.

"Ok, ok, we will buy you something, just keep this a secret okay?." I said to the boy.

"Yeah damn right! I'll have bread and mushroom soup!" The little boy exclaimed in delight.

"Hey, we're not buying you food idiot." Hiroshi said.

"Oh is that so? Too bad. Hey btw, I saw a poster in the town today about Don Simon's disappearance. There was also a prize money for those who can find him, I guess I'll take that money out to buy myself a treat." The boy replied while looking at his fingers.

"Okay, okay, you got yourself a deal."

After we decided to feed the boy in exchange for some agreements, we took off to the town to buy food that the boy was talking about. Then there in the town, the boy was right. There were a lot of posters posted on any walls in the streets about Don Simon going missing, including the bounty of 50000 gold for those who can successfully find him.

"That's a great amount of money." I said to them.

"Hey by the way, did you check Don simon?." Meldy asked.

"Oh shit, we totally forgot about him." Hiroshi replied while looking at us.

"He's dead." The boy added.

"Dead?!." The three of us asked in unison.

"Yeah, anyway he deserved it." the boy replied.

"What? we just forgot about him for a day, how did he die?." Hiroshi asked.

"The rats ate him." the boy replied.

"Rats?."

"Yeah, don't feel sorry for him he's evil, In fact his death was not enough to give justice to those he abused and killed."

"What do you mean?." I asked.

"Lower your voice, he's the responsible of the slavery business in this town. My father was taken by him as a slave after my father made a mistake in his work. Now because of his vicious act, my father died last year because of abuse." The boy explained.

"My condolences." Meldy replied.

"Now what I did after you left him was, I shredded and stuffed some leftovers over his body and then the rats made the finishing touch of the job."

"What the..."

"He might be all bones now, you should bury his skeleton by the time we go back to the mine." The boy explained.

"He's dead, no choice." Hiroshi said while looking at us.

"Anyway, let's go buy some food." The boy said while jumping excitedly.

"Alright."

While the four of us was eating, I can't help but wonder about the consequences. If the disappearance of a wealthy rich man will last up to 1 week, it's a given that the royal guards and other Investigation unit will investigate the case.

"Hey let's make this fast, we must bury Don Simon's body as soon as possible." I suggested.

"Yeah, hey kid eat it fast." Hiroshi said to the boy.

"Don't worry about that, you have me now, you gained my trust of course I will help you." the boy replied while licking the drip of the mushroom soup in his fingers.

After we ate our orders, Hiroshi went to the counter to pay the bills.

"That's 450 gold sir all in all including the drinks." the cashier said to him.

"Here, is this enough?." Hiroshi replied while showing the cashier the shining Mucra Royali pass.

The cashier was a bit speechless for a moment when he saw the card, before he proceed, he gave us a doubtful reaction and looked at all of us from head to toe.

"This is bad, he's a bit skeptical about us having the Mucra Royali." Meldy whispered.

"Let's get out of here fast." I said to them.

I gathered all of them outside to discuss the incoming danger.

"This is bad, the cashier is a bit not sure about us. He might report this to the higher ups." I said to them.

"Yeah, with the disappearance of Don Simon, we will surely become a primary suspect for the disappearance of a wealthy noble." Meldy explained.

"Let's go to the mine immediately, we will bury Don Simon then we will plan this revenge operation." Hiroshi suggested.

"Hey, give me that shovel please, I'm gonna lift this body after we dig." Hiroshi said to us.

3 hours straight without no delay, the four of us dug the muddy floors of the mine for us to bury the decomposed body of Don Simon.

"we will atleast dig about 8 ft. This way we can conceal the smell of decomposition in the mine." I suggested.

"Good Idea."

After we dug the grave, together we dropped the almost skeleton body of Don Simon in the grave. Then afterwards covered it with chunks and chunks of dirt.

"Now, one thing left for us is the plan to to take revenge." Hiroshi said to us.

"You boy, it's your time to shine." Meldy said.

"Yes."

"But before we proceed," I said to the boy.

"What is your reason why you want to partake in this revenge mission? You already killed the man who killed your father, what's your reason why you want to continue?."
