CHAPTER 39

"What? But how?" I was still surprised to see the statues facing towards my direction.

"Do you believe me now?."

"I don't know what to say."

"Don't worry, they will not hurt you nor your friends. You guys have no evil intentions in your heart so fear not." She explained.

"Okay."

The Occisor then walked towards the statues. I was terrified when the statues made a move, so I didn't follow.

"I'll be alright here." I said to her.

"By tomorrow night, we will strike again." the Occisor said while holding the statues herself.

The statues were very creepy and intimidating so I decided to walk away and go back to the camp.

"See you tomorrow." I said to her.

She didn't reply at all when I said that, she just sat beside the statues for no reason.

Back in the old house, both Meldy and Hiroshi were still asleep in the improvised foam. I heated some water, stirred some powdered black coffee and sat to a chair near the window. The warm aroma of the coffee gave a very comfortable vibe and feeling to me while in a cold setting. The moon above the sky was also shinning her ways towards my face. I felt the warmth of the light and the coffee in that moment. I felt that everything was surreal. The magical hour plus the warmth of coffee beside the window felt like I was in a fantasy. Then I remembered the creepy angels, I don't know how and why, but the place, the guardian angels, and the present hour gave me comfort and peace.

"Ghad, I miss this feeling." I said to myself while sipping slowly but surely the warm coffee that I made.

I don't know why but during that time, I felt lonely. I felt sad without knowing the real reason behind the loneliness. The black coffee was strong, but me myself was weak. It didn't take a while for me to finish my coffee. Then a minute after I finished drinking, I fell asleep.

"Wake up, the Occisor wants to have a meeting with us." Hiroshi was shaking my body in order to wake me up.

"Wash your face, we will have a meeting at the doll store today." Meldy said.

I took my towel, went to the kitchen where we store our rain water, then washed my face with the cold water.

"Ok done."

After the preparations, we then went to the Doll store to discuss something with the Occisor.

"Tonight is the night, prepare yourselves," the Occisor said.

"It's been 9 months since you guys healed and trained in this village. Now it's time to apply what you trained for in the real battle."

"Yeah, we're prepared." Hiroshi said with determination.

"The forces of Don Felipe Elibuende are not a joke, especially Kikiri's plan. Kikiri's plan is a thorn in a rose, a pain in the ass, a plan that you can't fathom,"

"If we go all out, we have to kill the brain first before the body."

We took all the gears that we needed after. We took a lot of bullets, wore a kevlar and covered ourselves with protective equipments.

"The plan is to kill Kikiri together, no mercy." I said to them.

"Also, I forgot to tell you, I have a bad news." The Occisor added.

"What is it?." Meldy asked.

"Unfortunately, Don Monico is alive and well, so you might wanna watch your back."

"What?." we were shocked after what she said.

"I thought he was dead, those cuts that you gave him was critical and he was bleeding a lot. How the hell did he survive?."

"I don't know, but we don't have a choice, I'm gonna kill him again."

It was 6 in the evening when we went to the mine for the preparations of the assassination.

"The reason why tonight is the perfect night for the assassination is because they are holding a party for Madame Yvonne's birthday today at the Elibuende Mansion. Kikiri might not show himself to the party, but still we will find him."

"We fail we die, this it."

It was around 10 in evening when the garden of the mansion was packed with lots of tables and food. Hiroshi and I as partners were scouting from a tree. The whole Elibuende Family was there including some friends and relatives. After few minutes of waiting, the head guard began welcoming the visitors.

"Sorry we need Mucra pass and invitation letter to let you inside." one of the guards in the entrance said to the couples.

"I told you, My mucra pass was missing so we filed for a remake. Now please let me go inside or else I will tell your boss." The old madam replied while holding her purse.

"Then no entry! Guards remove these two hardheaded minions in front of me." The head guard commanded.

"This is tough, if we will enter we need some disguise." Hiroshi said.

"A great makeover yeah but how are we going to do that? Remember we are fugitives." I said.

"I know what to do." Hiroshi said while looking at the two waiters taking a smoke break in the dark.

"Hey buddy, how about taking a permanent break?!." Hiroshi yelled while charging towards the two.

It didn't take a minute for Hiroshi to take down the two. After knocking them unconscious, we took their clothing and wore them.

"Now that our attire is perfect, the next thing is our appearance."

We then stole makeups in a purse and covered ourselves with lots of foundation to conceal just a little bit of our appearance.

"You look terrible, how about we ask Meldy for help back in the mine for the makeovers?." I said.

"Yeah good idea, we will look like a clown if we will do the makeover ourselves."
