CHAPTER 49

"What the?." I stepped back from where I was standing when I saw the shocking discovery.

"The Occisor did it, I knew it she isn't a foe, she's a friend." I said to him.

"How the heck did she find Kikiri, this is good news for us."

"Move! Move!!." One of the guard shouted. Along with the other forces in mansion, they secured Kikiri's head in a container and conducted an inspection and investigation in the whole mansion.

"Quick! We need to get out from here." I suggested.

While everyone was in a state of panic including the maids in the mansion, in the end the news reached Don Felipe. Through the same path that we took, we escaped back to the room that we took. It was tough since the patrol and the guards were more aggressive.

"Don't rest until you find the killer!." The head guard shouted.

I was about to take the window inside when I overheard a conversation from the guards.

"It's the phantom, the phantom did it for sure." One of the guard said to the other.

"Yeah, no doubt. But I didn't recognize the head."

"Yeah I agree with you, I didn't recognize him, anyway why is the head guard so passionate about finding the murderer when that person is not even important."

"Yeah this is a waste of time, the best thing to do for me is to strengthen the defense from inside instead of finding the murderer, we don't know the murderer might kill us while in pursuit, now that's a waste of time and lives."

"I agree with you."

"Hey." Hiroshi whispered silently.

"What?."

"Come on, don't mind them, we need to go back as soon as possible."

"So? What happened?." Meldy asked.

"It's Kikiri, he's dead." Hiroshi replied.

"What? But how? I don't understand, please elaborate."

"Kikiri's severed head was on the ground surrounded by the guards. I don't know how it happened but in my guess I think the Occisor did it." I explained.

"See I told you, the Occisor will not betray us, we need to trust her more if we want this operation to be successful." Meldy replied.

"I want to meet with her atleast, I want to at least know her intentions and goals in order to understand her actions." I said to them.

"It doesn't matter anymore, what matters is that Kikiri's dead, and now the only problem that we are facing is Don Monico. Once we eliminate him it's over." Meldy said.

"We don't have a choice but to ask for help from them." A guard said outside the room.

"Shhhhhhhhh be quiet, someone is outside the room." I whispered.

"From them? But boss, those three are dangerous, we can't control them and they will not obey you." One of the other person said.

"I don't care anymore, I will ask for the Master's permission to send Gamma here in the mansion to help us against the enemy."

"Prepare the plan and orders that I instructed earlier, I will go to the office of the Master to report and at the same time recommend what I had in my mind for so long."

Then in a minute, the hallway was filled with silence, indicating the they were gone.

"Damn they almost hear us, we need to be more silent." Hiroshi said.

"Yeah that was a close call, thank goodness they didn't hear us talking in this room."

"They said about sending Gamma, what is Gamma anyway? An army? A group of soldiers? Anyway what I'm trying to say is that, this is bad news for us." I said to them.

"He said that they can't control them, what does that mean? Anyway, we must finish this operation quickly before Gamma comes."

"Let's not worry about Gamma, we have the Occisor on our side, she will fight the Gamma for us." Meldy said.

"No, we rely too much, we need to fight too if it's necessary, remember the trainings that we endured, the sacrifices that we made. We will fight along with the Occisor." I replied.

"Yeah, without Kikiri in the their plan, it's just a common sense that they will send their Ace card on the line. Kikiri was a major part of their force, without him their plan will collapse." Hiroshi explained.

"Yeah, that only thing that we can do is to prepare for the worst." I said to them.

"Okay before we attack, let's regroup with the Occisor. In the mean time, I will sneak up in the grounds to gather some informations. You two stay here and prepare okay." I said to them.

"Alright be careful there, don't let yourself be captured or I will not forgive you." Meldy replied.

Using the window, I went back to the field alone to gather some possible intels from the enemies plan. I was honestly aware of the dangers ahead but I didn't mind.

Slowly, I sneaked in the guards quarter using the vents to gather informations.

"Hey, you heard the news?." one of the guard started a conversation.

"Yeah, Gamma is coming, they are a bit unstoppable but they will be a great part of our side. With Gamma in our side, nothing is impossible." The other one replied.

"You know I've seen them before."

"Really?."

"Yeah."

"When did it happened?."

"2 years ago, I don't know what's their reason but they came here for a private meeting."

"So? They're a bunch of thugs right?."

"No, Gamma is a badass name but they don't look dangerous at all. They don't have muscular structures or tattoos or anything badass about them."

"Huh?!? Then what are they?."

"Yeah it's true, in fact there's only 3 of them, 1 woman and 2 men, all in a fancy dress and tuxedo. Based from what I've seen, they look more sophisticated than tough."

"So they're plain?."

"No I can't really say that they are plain and bland but,"

"But?."

"They might not look dangerous, but your guts will tell you that they are the complete opposite of what you're seeing."
