CHAPTER 44

"Sorry Hiro, I tried my best, but."

"It's fine, Damn Kikiri. If only we can curse him to death."

While we were being tied to a cross, one of my fellow worker went beside my cross. He was just staring at me with pity on his face.

"Man, I didn't expect that it was you." He said.

"Yeah sorry I lied."

"Sorry but there's nothing that I can do to save you." He walked away from me.

That time, I feel regret for not ending Don Felipe's life. He was in my range, but I failed to kill him. Hiroshi on the other hand was closing his eyes while facing the soil of the earth. He did everything so I can execute the plan but what he did was pointless because of my reckless mistake.

"Hey! It's not your fucking fault, everything was a trap planned by kikiri. We fell for it that's what happened." He said to me.

"But.."

"Don't lose hope, remember Meldy is still there and not to mention we have The Occisor in our side." He explained.

"But the Occisor doesn't fight in a battlefield full of lights, that's the problem here." I replied.

"The Occisor will find a way."

While talking, the guards below us were sharpening their spears and swords for the execution. They were laughing while drinking. The guests were still in their table, drinking champagne, wines, while they watch us.

"We couldn't wait for the other 2, let's kill them now! I want to see some execution a soon as possible!." One of the guest yelled.

"DON'T WORRY, WE WILL ASSURE YOU THAT WE WILL CATCH THE OTHER TWO AS SOON AS POSSIBLE SO WE CAN BEGIN THE EXECUTION!." the emcee gave an assurance to the guests.

"BESIDES, WHO WILL ENJOY THE EXECUTION WITHOUT THE PHANTOM?!."

"TONIGHT, IF WE WILL CATCH THEM ALL SUCCESSFULLY, YOU WILL WITNESS THE EXECUTION OF THE EVASIVE PHANTOM!."

"THE PHANTOM THAT HAS BEEN HAUNTING US FOR YEARS."

"TONIGHT IS THE NIGHT THAT WE WILL WITNESS HIS EXECUTION!. PLUSSS! A BONUS! WE WILL REVEAL THE IDENTITY OF THE PHANTOM IN FRONT OF THE CROWD!."

"ARE YOU GUYS EXCITED?!."

"YEAHHHH!!!." the crowd responded then afterwards gave a follow up applause.

"By the way where is Meldy and the occisor?." I asked.

"No idea as what they are up to." he replied.

"Yeah right, the occisor doesn't tell us about her role in this play. Can we really trust her?."

"I don't know."

After hours of waiting while guests were enjoying the drinks, a severed head flew towards a table, giving everyone a panic.

Then afterwards, another head flew towards different part of the party tables.

"What's this?!?." Don Felipe asked in confusion and shock.

"From the roof sir! The flying heads are coming from the roof!." One of the guards reported.

"THEN WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?!? CHECK THE DAMN ROOF!."

Due to the raining of heads in the party, some guests collapsed due to shock and trauma. Some were frightened and some were running towards the exit. Due to the number of guests in the area running towards the exit, there was a stampede all over the party area. They were all running like animals, it was a complete chaos.

"EVERYONE! PLEASE CALM DOWN! OUR TRUSTED SECURITY AND GUARDS ARE IN PURSUIT TO THE CULPRIT BEHIND THIS!." the emcee tried to calm down the panicking crowd.

"Don Felipe, this way please." One of the personal bodyguard of Don Felipe took him to a safe place.

"Damn, he got away!" Hiroshi exclaimed in frustration.

"Must be the Occisor." I replied.

"Damn, she's dumb af. Because of her stupid plan, Don Felipe got away." he said.

"We can't judge yet, maybe she has a plan. Maybe she's planning of something, we have no choice but to trust her atleast for now."

Then suddenly the lights went off in the party, causing more panic to the trapped guests. It was pitch black in the garden, so dark that the visibility was way too poor to see and visualize.

"Damn, damn province!." Hiroshi exclaimed.

In the sky, the moon was present but it was covered with thick clouds, making the night even more darker.
The atmosphere was angry, filled with nimbus cloud all over the sky from the horizon to the other side.

"It's about to rain, damn it."

While struggling to untie the rope on my end, a familiar voice echoed through the darkness.

"Peter, shhh it's me Meldy, don't worry I will untie you."

Then I felt a sharp thing in my hand, few minutes later the ropes came off same with Hiroshi.

"Meldy thank god you're here, where have you been?." I asked.

"Don't worry, I was in the mansion, quick hold me tightly I will get you out of here." Meldy replied.

"It's dark, turn on your flashlight." Hiroshi suggested.

"No, it's better this way, the dark will conceal our presence so we can escape." she explained.

"But how can we navigate our way through the exit?." Hiroshi asked.

"Don't worry everything was planned by me, I memorized the pattern of the place, just follow me and you will be alright."

After crawling in the pitch black darkness, we then arrived at the exit.

"God, thanks! You saved us." I thanked her.

"Yeah, but Don Felipe escaped because of that damn Occisor. Honestly, I lost my respect to her, she can do better than that stupid plan." Hiroshi expressed his frustration and anger.

"I haven't seen the Occisor." Meldy explained.

"What? I thought the two of you are together in this mission." I was confused.

"She left earlier than I am remember? Honestly I can't even find her everywhere in the mansion." She explained.

"Where the hell is that damn Occisor?! I think she aborted the plan and left." Hiroshi explained.

"I don't know, must be."

"I knew it, that bastard can't be trusted." Hiroshi said.

"No it can't be, if she aborted the plan and escaped on her own, then who did that thing on the roof?."
