"Good morning everyone." I said to them while sipping a hot coffee.

"Yo morning!." Meldy responded.

"Hiroshi wake up sleepy head."

When Hiroshi woke up, I knew it was a brand new day. The fun things that we did that night was still fresh in my memory.

"Sup, can I have some of that?." He asked.

"You don't have to ask, here, freshly made by Meldy." I said while giving him a cup of fresh creamed coffee.

"Where have you been last night?." Meldy asked.

"Hiro and I can't sleep so we went for a night walk." I replied.

We were peacefully having breakfast the whole morning when suddenly a loud explosion startled all of us.

"It's starting!." Hiroshi said while on the ground.

"You mean the war?." I asked.

"Yes the war." He replied.

"Let's stay here, let's not blow our covers." Hiro added.

The three of us was just sitting there in the bunker while the war was happening. There were a lot of gunfires and explosions happening outside. Mortar shells, grenades and the crack of guns were the only thing that we heard. It was traumatizing, all we could do was to act neutral.

We were covering our head when suddenly the bunker that we were staying was destroyed because of a mortar.

Thinghgggggggggg*

All I can hear was just a ring in my ear when the mortar landed. The whole roof of the bunker collapsed covering the three of us with debris and sand.

"Is everyone okay?." Hiroshi said while holding his wounded arm.

"Meldy! Hiroo please help Meldy!." I screamed.

When I stood up in the ground, everything was full of smoke and dust.

"Peter! Here quick! Meldy is stuck with something." Hiroshi screamed.

When I saw Meldy, she was badly hurt. Half of her was covered with the debris and her foot was stuck.

"Oh no! Enemies are approaching towards our location. Peter you focus helping Meldy, I will stop them from reaching our location." Hiro suggested.

Hiroshi took his Arisaka rifle and shot the incoming enemies.

"Come on Meldy wake up!." I said to her while she was unconscious.

"Faster Peter! I couldn't hold them by my own." Hiroshi said while sniping the incoming enemies.

I was pulling a debris when Meldy came to her senses.

"Peter, help." She said while trembling.

"Don't worry I will get you out of here." I said to her.

With my remaining strength, one by one I removed the debris from her lower part. Fortunately when I looked at her lower, it wasn't crushed.

"Come here, piggyback to me, I'll carry you." I said to her.

"Hiro! Let's go!." I said to him.

"Ok go ahead I will follow you."

As we escaped, explosion from the mortars almost got us. It was also hard to get out of the warzone because of the low visibility.

"Stick with me, I'll navigate our way through." Hiroshi said while holding a compass.

"Ok." replied.

As we walked in the dust and smoke.

We accidentally met an enemy.

"Both of you drop!." Hiroshi exclaimed while charging against the enemy.

"Shi'ne!." Hiroshi said while cutting the enemy in half with his Katana.

It happened so fast that, I couldn't respond right away.

"Hiroshi! You alright?." I asked.

"Yeah I'm fine come let's continue." He said while guiding us through the sandstorm of dust and smoke.

We were walking for a few minutes when Hiroshi stopped.

"Why?." Meldy asked.

"It's hard to navigate because of the influence and presence of the metals in the area that is affecting our magnetic compass." Hiroshi said.

"I'll dig a tunnel real quick, hold her tight and shoot anyone who come across." He said while picking up a metal and started digging.

It took 3 hours for Hiroshi to dig a deep tunnel, about 4 meters towards the ground.

" Come inside, let's hide here until the smoke and dust will fade." He said while guiding me.

Inside the tunnel it was moist and hot, but we had no other choice but to deal with it.

"I can't believe that you actually made a tunnel." I said.

"Yeah, I learned it from them." He said while pointing his finger above.

Immediately, I looked at Meldy's wound and treated it. Fortunately the damage in his lower part wasn't that bad.

"It's a miracle that we didn't die when the bunker collapsed." Meldy said while applying pressure to her wound.

"Actually, I designed the ceiling with lighter materials in case a bomb or a mortar will destroy my bunker while I am inside. You see, when I was building it, I knew something like that would happen, so to avoid serious injuries I made the ceiling with lighter materials." He said.

"And so I was right afterall thanks to my prediction, we didn't die today hahahahhaha."

"You're a remarkable man Hiroshi, I can't believe that you even predicted that." I said to him.

"Well, sometimes you gotta act smart or the enemy will outsmart you." He said while laughing his ass off.

In my whole life, I never met a man this amazing. Hiroshi proved himself to us that he's worth respecting. A man with action not words. A man with dignity and talent, and a man with a kind soul. That is Hiroshi, the man that I could never ever forget till the day that I will die.

"Hiroshi, we will forever owe our lives to you." I said to him.

"I am with you comrade, for better or for worse. Be my loyal companion and we will be forever glorious." He said.

"You sound like a communist." I said to him while laughing.

"What? Hahahaha you donkey."

The three of us just laughed our problems away under the tunnel. Waiting for the poor visibility and chaos to fade away, we stayed there for hours.

"Crap, I forgot to bring the supplies." I said to him.

"It's alright, it was covered with debris so we had no choice but to leave it." He replied.

"Then how about our food?." I asked.

"Don't worry, just like what we did before, let's steal some."
