In this world where nothing matters, survival is the main priority to those who lived. Murder, Cannibalism, and other horrifying immoral acts, everything is possible if you are cornered between life and death.
In this wicked world filled with darkn...
"I don't know, but one thing is for sure, we can't stay here forever." I replied.
"I agree." Hiroshi said.
After eating, Hiroshi went to sleep and Meldy took some first aid and cleaned her wounds. On my part, I was still admiring the sniper that we found.
"I can't sleep." Hiroshi said while rubbing his belly.
"why?." I asked.
"I was still thinking about the Occisor." Hiroshi replied.
"Let's find that person." I said to him.
"No way." he said back.
"Then you will forever wonder about him."
"It's okay, let's just sleep, someday our paths will cross his." He said while getting back to sleep.
After a minute of wiping, I felt tired so I also went to sleep.
*********
"Hey, wake up." Hiroshi said.
When I woke up, I was surprised that there were no gun, and bomb explosions going on.
"Why?." I asked.
"We need to evacuate, this tunnel won't hold anymore." Hiroshi suggested.
Immediately we packed our things and left the tunnel.
"Where are we going?." Meldy asked.
"Somewhere safe away from here." Hiroshi said.
For hours, we walked and walked away from the warzone. This time, we went west to find a shelter that is safe from the war.
"I know where to go now." Hiroshi said while looking at us.
"Where?." I asked.
"Montreal Village." He replied.
"What is that place and why there?." Meldy asked.
"Montreal is like a town village in the middle of the forest up in the mountain, but that village was abandoned years before the calamity came." He explained.
"There in Montreal, the houses are strong but the problem is, it was covered with soot because of a fire that happened in there 11 years ago."
"Why there?." I asked.
"First, that place is safe, second people will not dare to go to that place because of a rumor." He replied.
"What rumor?." Meldy asked.
"Something about a ghost named Mindamaru. Based from the story, Mindamaru was a girl who died when the fire happened years ago. After the fire, some robbers dared to steal the remaining treasures from the village, but it was Mindamaru who prevented them from doing so." Hiroshi said.
"So she's like a guardian?." I asked.
"Yeah something like that, the said village was located north from our position in the deep mountains,"
"The good thing about this village is that, no enemy will invade us in our sleep, so it is safe to stay there." He explained.
"But how about that Mindamaru story?." I asked again.
"That's just a story, for me I don't really believe in ghost." He explained.
Same with Hiroshi, I don't really believe in ghosts since I never encountered one in my whole life. In my honest opinion, I rather be scared to a live person, than a ghost.
After hours and days of walking, finally we reached the village Hiroshi was talking about. It was in a top of a creepy mountain. The entrance of the village was packed with different statues of angels, the weird thing there was that some of them looks creepy, probably due to the fire.

"Hiroshi, are you really sure about this?." I asked.
"Yeah, don't worry about the creepy looking angels, the purpose of that is to protect the village from evil,"
"We're not evil so there's no reason for us to worry about that." Hiroshi explained.
When we entered the village, it gave me a very creepy vibe. The village was heavily infested with algae and tress.
"This place is giving me goosebumps, you sure about this?." I asked.
"Yeah don't worry, at least here we can be safe from those barbarians." He explained.
The houses in the town looks old, some of the houses were destroyed probably because of the earthquake. Some of the houses are filled with black soot and algae. One thing that caught my attention was that, all of the houses are made of stones and the designs were very old fashioned.
"What is this place anyway? what's the reason why all of the houses here are so old?." I asked.
"Yeah nothing modern." Meldy added.
"This town was the oldest town in the country. It was originated back in 1820's. Before the fire, most of the people that lived here came from their ancestors. Pretty interesting right?." Hiroshi explained while looking at us.
"I don't know if I can say that it's interesting, but I don't really like the mood of this village." Meldy said.
"Anyway, what caused the fire in this village?." I asked.
"I don't know the reason, but they said that it was because of an explosion." He replied.
In the town, Hiroshi tried to find a fine looking house to stay. A lot of houses were destroyed so finding a decent shelter was a bit difficult.
"Here, this house is perfect" Hiro said while looking at an old creepy house.
After minutes of finding a decent house, finally we found a home.
Immediately we went inside the house to settle our things.
"This house is better I'll say, but where can we get food here?" Meldy asked.
"Of course in the enemy camp" Hiroshi replied.
"How far is the camp from here?" I asked.
"A bit far, but don't worry the important thing here is we're safe now" Hiroshi said.
For me, what Hiroshi said was right. I'll say that it was a wise decision to live in the most feared village since the rumor will protect us from the enemies.
Without a choice, we decided to stay.
"We will stay here in the living room, forget the rooms, I want us to stick together." Hiroshi suggested.
After we settled our things, Hiroshi decided to take us to a walk outside in the town.
