George woke up feeling dizzy and unable to catch his breath. In some ways, he wished the dream was real. He wished he had drowned, so he didn't have to watch as he lost his bestfriend.

George got out of bed and grabbed his keys. He didn't care what he was wearing. It was an hour drive. Just one hour. 

He drove as the sun started coming up, through the trees, the plains, until the salty smell flooded his car when he opened his windows. It was December, so the water would be absolutely freezing, but that was a good thing. 

The beach had multiple cliffs, darting out of the already rough rocks surrounding the cold sand. George took his time to walk up, slowly. It was too early for anyone else to be there. No one to see what he was about to do. 

George reached the highest piece of land and looked over at the ocean below. The sound of the waves crashing against the rocks soothed George's nerves.

What was the point in living any longer anyways? He was already losing Dream, the person he most cared about in life. It's not like he would care all that much anyways. 

George sat down and allowed his legs to hang over the rocky edge. The breeze sent chills down George's back. George closed his eyes and sniffed in the smell of the salty air, the same salt that could fill his lungs in just a few minutes. 

George knew he shouldn't do this, but there was no one there to stop him. The words from his dream came back into his mind, replaying over and over. "I love you Dream."

But Dream didn't love him. Dream would never love him. What was there to love anyways?

George took another deep breath and stood up. He walked slowly forward until his toes could feel no ground. The wind pushed against him as if to push him away from the edge. George closed his eyes...
