Use the sleeves of my sweater

Lets have an adventure...

And with those words he was taken back. The scene was now familiar, he was in the exact place he was before. The darkness around him remained the same. He was cold, shivering. But yet again, he couldn't help but feel- happy. He never wanted to leave, even if he couldn't see. The feeling of happiness was enough for him to want to stay forever.

Then he heard the voice again. So faint. Seemingly so far away, though it seemed to be closer this time.

"Dream? Where are you?" it called out again.

This is where he noticed one thing had changed.

"I'm here." he said.

Dream could talk. But it was at this point that he dreaded. The dream was going to end. Just as it had last time. But he stood there. And it didn't.

"Who are you?" Dream asked.

He heard no answer. Maybe the person had left? Had they not heard him say where he was? Did the person get lost? Just as Dream was about to call out again, he felt a cold thumb touch his bottom lip, pulling it down ever so slightly. Even though the hand was cold, he felt his body fill up with warmth and calmness. He didn't feel lost, or scared. He felt safe.

The cold hand made its way to his jaw line, following to his ear, then his neck. Dream held still, unable to breath. Then he felt the soft, gentle lips on his. Moving so slightly, as if not to hurt Dream. He closed his eyes and began to move his lips. This kiss made him feel so full. So happy.

                                                       ---

Why did he have to wake up? Was he supposed to go on with his day? How could he do that? He could he forget about that amazing kiss he just had?

When he finally opened his eyes he could hear George's voice. That's odd.

Shit.

He promised George to come to his stream! How could he be so stupid and forget? He didn't want to hurt a friends feelings.

Dream got up and sat down in his chair. He quickly stuck on his head phones and joined the call.

"Finally, Dreams here." George said, you could tell he was aggravated.

"Hey, yeah, sorry I lost track of time..." Dream apologized.

Sapnap laughed. "What'd you just wake up or something?"

"So?" Dream said, is it really that obvious?

"Oh my god Dream! Your voice is so low when you wake up!" George said.

"Oh look chat, George likes Dreams voice." Sapnap said.

George blushed. "No! That's not what I said!"

Sapnap laughed again. "Look! He's blushing!"

Dream laughed too.

"I'm not blushing chat, calm down." George said. "Anyways, Dream! Come see my new house!"

"Alright, alright. I will. Where?" he asked.

Dream played on the SMP with them for a while before saying he was tired and was going to head off. George decided to end his stream and they all said bye to the chat. The truth is, Dream wasn't tired at all, he just wanted to get back to that place, to see what happened next. George asked if he wanted to play a little longer, but Dream said no. He left the vc, then moments later got a dm from Sapnap.

Are you alright?

Should he tell him the truth, or lie about it.

Not really. He replied.

Wanna talk about it?

All he wanted to do was climb in bed and go back. Escape the rain, and mugginess of the oncoming winter in Florida.

Tomorrow. Night

Goodnight Dream.

                        --------

No matter how hard Dream tried, he couldn't fall asleep. He laid there on his mattress, looking up at the dark ceiling above him. The ceiling pounded with the pounding rain that has been coming down for days.

After laying there for a long while, he decided he needed to get out of the house. If he couldn't go back to the place in his dreams, he could at least go somewhere in real life. After all, it wasn't late at all.

Dream knew exactly where he wanted to go. A place where he could feel comforted and wouldn't be forced to talk about anything. About his feelings. About his dreams. Nothing.

He jumped out of his bed onto the cold floorboards. Suddenly Patches appears at his ankles, rubbing her sides against his leg. Dream had almost forgot about Patches, he couldn't leave her alone. Instead he called his parents and his sister, to see if the would watch her for a few days.

Dream grabbed some clothes from his nearly empty closet, he only ever wore the same outfits anyways. After putting Patches in her carrier, he grabbed his car keys and they head out to brave the rain. His parents house wasn't very far, it only took a little time to get there. He said hi to his family and head off to his get away.

He really hoped this would help him clear his mind. When he was ready, someone would be there to talk to him. The rain began coming down harder than before, more than he thought possible. It was becoming hard to see.

Dream spent the whole car ride thinking back about his dream he had. He hoped the long ride would make him tired enough to go back there, to his dream. Soon enough he was where he wanted to go.

He had traveled far enough so it was no longer raining. He could look up into the sky and see the many stars shining down at him. He climbed out of his car and breathed in the cool, air. Then he walked up the path and stepped onto the porch. After taking a deep breath, he knocked on the door.
