After taking a deep breath, he knocked on the door.

"Dream!" Sapnap gasped. "Wh-what-"

Dream looked down, he hadn't really thought about what would happen when he got here. "C-can I come I-in?"

Sapnap stepped back. "Yeah- of course! What are you doing in Texas?"

"I needed to get away- from the rain. From my house. I just needed a break." Dream explained, walking in the warm house. He was greeted by Sapnap's cat, reminding him over Patches. He now felt bad for just leaving her.

"I would of cleaned up if I knew you were coming. Here you can put your stuff down in the guest room..." Sapnap showed him around the house, he knew better then to ask questions right away. Dream appreciated Sapnap not saying anything but he knew it wouldn't last long. Eventually his curiosity would get the best of him.

"Yeah, I'm sorry for just showing up like this. I hope you weren't busy. I-i can go if-" Dream suddenly felt bad. He felt selfish for not telling his friend he was coming.

Sapnap looked Dream in the eyes. "Don't leave. I, well- Are you okay Dream?"

Dream sat down on the couch. "No, not really..."

"Does he know you are here?" Sapnap asked.

How did he know? Dream didn't remember saying anything. Was it that obvious, or was he just very attentive?

Dream looked down into his lap, he didn't feel like looking at Sapnap. He didn't want to know what Sapnap was thinking. "No, he doesn't. I'm not sure I want his to, he will-"

"Don't worry, I'm not going to tell him." Sapnap said, he hoped Dream would trust him. "Now, tell me what's going on."

Dream knew Sapnap wanted to know, so he could understand Dream. and for once Dream knew he needed to tell someone. His best friend was here to help. "I've been having dreams." Dream sighed, giving in.

"What kind of dreams?"

Dream didn't know how to explain it. He decided to just look up, he locked eyes with Sapnap. I mean, what was he supposed to say? Oh- in my dream I kissed somebody?

Sapnap just nodded. Dream took that as a sign to keep going.

"I can't seen anything, it's all dark. I always get chills, it's very cold." Dream looked toward the wall. "Then somebody calls my name... I don't know who though. The first time, I couldn't speak. Now, I responded- and then I-I was kissed. I felt oddly safe, even in the dark." Dream turned his head back to Sapnap.

"Is there more?" Sapnap asked.

Dream looked down at the cat on his lap. Purring, just as Patches would if he was home. "It was- the best kiss I've ever had. I stopped breathing, I just couldn't catch my breath. I have never felt so happy, so full."

"And then you woke up?" Sapnap asked.

"Yes, but I can't stop thinking about it. It's taking over my life." Dream sighed.

Sapnap nodded. "I can tell-" he let out a small laugh. "Is it making you feel some type of way..."

Dreams cheeks grew red. "Shit- that's embarrassing." he scrambled to move so the cat was in the way.

"Happens to the best of us I suppose." Sapnap said, he knew he shouldn't make fun of him for this, Dream was finally being vulnerable with him.

Dream stood up, wrapping the closest blanket around himself. "I-I'm going to go to bed, if that's alright. Uhm- night."

"Sweet dreams..." Sapnap teased, careful to not push it.
