I crawled out of bed this morning to the smell of coffee and bacon. I went downstairs and saw Dad setting out plates and Erin was bringing plates full of food to the table. I saw 4 empty plates set.

Lena: Is Jay here or something?

I felt arms wrap around me and start swaying me back and forth.

Justin: Nah. Your big brother is though.

He chuckled and I turned around, hugging Justin tightly.

Lena: You're only older by like 10 minutes!

Justin: Still older. How you holding up? Erin and Pop filled me in on what I've missed.

I shrugged as he let me go and looked at me.

Lena: As good as to be expected, I guess. I just can't believe he did that to me.

Justin: You know I never liked Matt. I knew he was shit.

Hank: C'mon and eat, kids.

We all sat down and started eating. Justin sat next to me, checking on me every few minutes. I missed my brother.

Hank: I put in papers for you, Lena. Leave of absence from CFD. To heal up from the miscarriage.

Lena: And Boden allowed you to do that?

Hank: Trudy pulled some strings. Had Mouch talk to him. He understands.

I nodded and picked at my pancakes.

Erin: You need to eat, Lena.

Lena: I'm not really hungry.

Justin: Eat or I shove the food down your throat.

I looked at Dad.

Lena: You're just gonna let him assault me like that?!

He gestured to my plate.

Hank: You heard him. You need to eat. Starving yourself doesn't fix a damn thing. You know that.

I took a piece of bacon and bit it, chewing sarcastically at Justin. After breakfast, I went back up to my room and sat at my old desk. Justin came in, sitting on my bed. Just like when we were teenagers.

Justin: Can't believe Matt cheated on you. That's fucked up. You know, I know a guy who can make his life hell. Met him when I was in Statesville.

Lena: Don't let Dad hear you say that shit, Justin.

He sighed and nodded.

Justin: I know. Just trying to protect you and ruin that prick's life. You didn't deserve that.

I moved to sit next to my brother, resting my head on his shoulder. He wrapped an arm around me and kissed my forehead.

Justin: I'm sorry about the baby. It would have been cool to be an uncle.

Lena: You will be one day. You'll make a great one.

Justin: And you'll be a great mom. Just like Mom was.

We heard someone at my door. Dad was leaning against the doorframe, looking at us.

Lena: Is something wrong, Dad?

Hank: No. Just looking at my kids. You two are the best things to ever happen to me. I'm glad to have you both under the same roof again for a while.

I went back to my apartment for a while around lunchtime with suitcases and boxes. I had decided to move back in with Dad. I packed up my clothes into the suitcases and took them down to my car. As I was walking back to my apartment, my phone rang. ADA Barba. I answered it.

Lena: Hello?

Barba: Miss. Voight. How are you? I just wanted to check on you after what happened last time you were in Manhattan.

Lena: I'm okay. My fiance and I broke up. But I'm doing okay. I appreciate the call.

Barba: I'm sorry to hear about the break up. But if it's not out of line, I'd like to ask you to dinner. Next time you're in New York, of course.

I half smiled to myself. He was very kind and handsome. What the hell, why not?

Lena: Sure. Next time I'm in Manhattan, I'll let you know and we can set something up.

Barba: I look forward to it. Lena, I hope to see you soon. And I'll call you later, if that's alright?

Lena: Sure. I wouldn't mind that.

I could almost hear him smiling.

Barba: Have a good day, beautiful.

Lena: You too, Rafael.

I hung up and packed up my bedroom with a smile. Soon, Justin came in with Erin and Jay. They all had moving boxes.

Jay: So, back to Hank's?

Lena: For a while, yeah. So, Justin if you can pack up the kitchen. Erin, the bathroom. And Jay, the living room.

Jay: Why do I have the biggest room?!

Erin: It has the least stuff to pack, you idiot.

The lightbulb finally cut on in Jay's head and he got to work. Everything was coming to Dad's and he was going to help me sort through it all. Throw away useless items and put everything else in the basement. My furniture would go to the basement as well. Jay hauled my couch in the bed of his truck and half of the boxes in the back seat. Erin hauled the other half in her Jeep. Justin stayed to help me clean.

Justin: So, I'm moving back home too. Just for a little bit. Until I ship out.

Lena: Ship out?

Justin: Pop enlisted me into the Army. To keep me out of trouble. So I'll be going to boot camp soon.

Lena: Wow. When did that happen?

Justin: While you were hiding out after coming back from New York. But I'll come back and visit when I get leave and stuff.

We took out the trash and turned my keys into the rental office. I got my deposit back and we were on our way to Dad's. I redecorated my bedroom at Dad's, packing up my childhood stuff and putting it in the attic. I lit a candle once I finished and sat on my bed. Dad came in and sat with me.

Hank: Stay as long as you want. I'm glad to have the company again.

I nodded and bit my lip.

Lena: I'm going to resign from CFD. Can I get a full time spot with Intelligence?

Hank: I'll see what can be done. But you should focus on your school work when you start back again. You'll be a good lawyer. I'll pull some strings. You can work in the unit as a civilian. Just staying put. Do your online work upstairs and I'll arrange the schedule to work with your in person courses. You're not giving up the law degree. Copy?

Lena: I copy.

He hugged me and patted my shoulder.

Hank: We'll get through this together. Just like we've always done.

I heard my brother down the hall.

Justin : If you're gonna be a lawyer, can I give you my retainer now?! Just in case I need a lawyer again!

I laughed as Dad stood up and walked down towards Justin's room.

Hank: I'm gonna kick your brother's ass.

It was good to be supported. I'm glad to be back home with Dad and Justin.
