I looked around me and realized I was in the fog. I realized in horror that there was people all around me screaming. I frantically looked around frightened with my knife out ready to attack whatever was out there. But I suddenly realized there were no monsters around, these people were just screaming for no reason. I walked up to a lady nearby, the lady's eyes were black. I quickly backed up but the lady grabbed my arm and said "he's coming, he's coming."

"Who's coming?" I shouted back.

"You know who, he wants you back. back where you belong." With that the lady's eyes turned white and she screamed. Jabbering on about a horrible event that was happening, but I saw nothing around us. I walked away from the lady and walked up to more people in the fog. There eyes where white too and they were screaming and crying about a terrible event taking place before their eyes. Then I heard a unearthly noise, it sounded like nothing I heard before. Then I saw a giant tree looking monster coming towards me. It was huge probably 30 feet tall was big black eyes, it had white bark with black spots on the bark. It had some leaves on it's head and branches sticking out of its body. I quickly backed up but tripped over someone's purse that they left on the bridge. I quickly got back up and realized that the monster was now looking right at me. I quickly turned around and ran as fast as I could out of the fog, the monster right behind me, shaking the bridge as it attempted to run after me. I finally saw the end of the bridge and ran as fast as I could to get out of the fog. The monster reached for me with it's long branchy arms, but right before it grabbed me I jumped out of the fog. The monster shrieked in pain as it shot it's arm back into the fog. Nichole and Grace quickly ran over to me and engulfed me in a hug. They started asking me all sorts of questions to which I replied "guys let's just get home, I'll explain everything when we get there." The truth was I had no idea what exactly happened. What was that thing, why were the people like that, who was coming for me? My mind was racing with questions but the only thing I knew was to ask my mother, maybe she had some insight on what was going on. Apparently according to Grace and Nicole after I went into the fog, the fog stopped moving and it hadn't moved since I came out either. I thought this was odd but we had to stay alert. We quickly got on the horses and set off to mine and Grace's house, which luckily was only 10 minutes away from the bridge. The ride was silent as we all were questioning what had all just happened to us. We arrived at my house and we took the horses to the backyard and unsaddled them and put the tack in the garage. We walked back up front to the front door and walked into the house, immediately my mom, Heather, engulfed me into a hug and looked me over with worry. I had a few cuts and bruises from the bridge but nothing major. Grace went across the street to her family while I cleaned my cuts and changed into some sweatpants and a sweatshirt. I walked into the living room where Nicole was watching TV. "This fog is everywhere, it's in England, China, Japan, Australia, it's everywhere. Scientists don't know what to make of it and all the world leaders have no idea what to do or what's happening!" Nichole said full of fear.

"I think it's time I speak to my mother," I said, " I think she knows more than she's saying."
