I believe I know where to go now. Last night I had a dream of a house that seemed familiar to me, I think it was the home I lived in as a child as I cannot recall memories of it very well. I know it's somewhere near my father and aunts house so I'm gonna head there. I still don't know where my grandparents are but I hope they're ok, and with those thoughts I head off. Today in the fog I see nothing, no cars, or people, I can hear a few distant screams but that's it. The fog for once was quite. I hate just walking because it leaves me alone with my thoughts just wondering and questioning things. Is my mom and friends ok? Are my family members who are in the fog ok? What if I can't stop the fog? I tell myself to stop worrying because everything will be fine, it has to. I walk along the road for probably 3 hours when I arrive at my dad's house. I am relieved to be at someplace familiar and someplace where I can rest for tonight. My body was still sore and still had some burning sensation from the monster encounter yesterday. I walk into the backyard and open the sliding door on the back deck. I close the door behind me and take out my hunting knife, I have a feeling I'm not alone. I walk around the main floor and don't see anyone, I then check the basement and it's uninhabited as well. I walk upstairs and check every room but my room, I slowly turn the doorknob and quickly open the door. There standing in front of me is a tall figure, he had short dark brown hair and was wearing some jeans and a white shirt. He turned around to face me and his eyes where black like the lady's on the bridge were when she gave me the message. "Ah so it is true, you have entered the fog." The man said.

"Who are you? Are you the one controlling the fog? Are you my real father?" I shouted

"Ah all good questions which shall be answered in due time. For the time being I'll let you have Ethan back, but only for a little while we have very important plans that can't be delayed." With those words the man's eyes turned back to normal he had green irises and looked at me as he collapsed to the floor. I immediately put my knife away and ran to his side to help him up. "Are you ok sir?" I asked him, he looked at me with a soft smile and replied.

"Could it be after all these years, my little Elizabeth?"

"My name is Elizabeth sir but I'm afraid I don't know you. Your name is familiar though my real fathers name is Ethan and I'm looking for him." I told the man.

"Is your mother named Heather by any chance?" He asked.

"Why yes it is, wait are you really thinking that your my real father?"

He cupped my face in his hands and tears slipped down his face. "After all these years I can finally see my little girl." He said with a smile on his face. But he quickly wiped the tears away and his smile faded into a determined look, "I need to explain everything to you so you can stop this dreadful fog." He said.

"Do you have any parchment?" He asked looking around.

"Uhhh...I have a notebook." I said as I reached into my backpack and pulled the little motebook I packed out.

"Perfect!" He said and grabbed the notebook and quickly started writing and sketching things on the pages. After about 20 minutes he looked up at me, closed the notebook and handed it to me.

"This is everything you need to know about the fog." He said.

"OK," I replied, "and it tells me how to stop the fog right?" But before he could answer he engulfed me in a hug and after a few seconds he stepped back and his eyes were black again. Without another word he vanished before my eyes. I raced around the house looking for him but there was no sign of him. I walked back into my room and sat on my bed with the notebook in my hands.

"At least now I'll hopefully have some answers." I told myself and opened up the notebook.
