I am just going to think about something for a moment. Why did I even choose to go to get involved in this trip? I do have a theory on if I did not go to this trip. Maybe, the people, or whoever they are, would have forced us to go and would have killed us from the start. Okay, I may have been dramatic at that moment, but that is what I will be as long as I am lost in space. I do have a question that has been driving me crazy. Why did they specifically choose us to go on this "experiment"? Why did they call it an "experiment" if all they wanted to do was to kill us? There is bound to be any possible explanation for this situation.
"You know what I just realized, Stephen?"
"Okay, Jordan. What did you figure out this time?"
"What is this black thing in the front?"
"That... would be... a communication device. I don't know why there is one in this ship."
The screen on the device crackled. "Hey, is someone trying to reach our communication device?"
The signal started to clear. "You thought you could get away from me?"
"Wait, what do you want now!?!"
"Ah... Jordan.... How have you been? It is I... 5G-189! I am the person who will take you back to Gliese 581g. Do you have any final thoughts before I destroy your ship?"
"What do you want now!?!" I have had it with 5G-189. She will not give up.
"Easy... I want your life to be ended... along with all of the other people on that ship, including Stephen."
Stephen had to do something. "And what about me?"
"I don't know. You are a human. That is plain and simple. Humans have been nothing but a disgrace to the universe! It is my job to help cleanse all humans!"
"Ah... so you must be one of those people then... I think that is just sad that you think humans ruined your lives."
"Stephen, what are you doing?"
"Look, there is not much I can do right now. I might as well just act like you for now."
"Humans like you, along with all other humans, should be cleansed from the universe. I cannot imagine the true danger your kind would have caused."
"And what danger could we have caused?" My curiosity struck again.
"You... poor... child. You are incredibly young. Even a known transcended person would know that humans are literally known to cause chaos wherever one may step. Humans are the one species that can define the future of a dying universe. Humans can set the difference between everybody surviving and everybody perishing. Humans are a disgrace!"
I could not hold it in. "THAT IS ENOUGH! What made you think that humans could be so dangerous? So lethal? So catastrophic? A transcended person may plot a human cleansing, but what about other people who are transcended? Maybe it is just an uncertain opinion. You seem to be on the wrong side of the universe." I look towards Stephen. "Oh wait... who knew that somebody who tried to help us return to Earth tried to kill us instead? You are the disgrace. Do not even ask to prove it. Also, if you want us to prove it, then what should we do then?"
"If you want to prove that I am wrong, then you must prove that humans have a civilized society."
I had an uncontrolled laugh. "Haha! Oh wow! You really think we are that barbaric? Do you really think that we are that uncivilized? Have you even seen Earth? Oh, hold on, let me ask you something... When was the last time you have seen Earth? Or, have you seen Earth at all?"
"Why should you know? I have seen the Earth."
"If so, then when? Wait a minute... what year do you think it is on Earth?"
"750 B.C.—"
"Wait what!?! First off, have you really been living that long? Second off, you really should know that the current Earth year is 2018."
"Yes, my kind lives for an exceptionally long time. I am known as an ETLF, or 'Extra Terrestrial Lifeform'. To your second question, the last time I visited Earth was actually 3547 B.C., so I have lived quite a long time. I am actually the oldest of my kind. The average lifespan for my kind is just over 1500 years. What is the life span of a human?"
"Around 75 years..." I just felt embarrassed by that question. What she just asked was unnecessary.
"Ahaha! You humans die when we are in our infant stages! It is no wonder you are so uncivilized!"
"Might I point out that we have many types of civilizations on Earth and not just one?"
"You can only have one. That is how the basic logic of civilization works."
"You apparently do not know how civilizations work. You can have more than one, but you just cannot live in more than one at a time. On Earth, there are countless civilizations of humans communicating and collaborating to help make Earth a better place."
"Last time I heard, humans communicated and collaborated to destroy aliens" Is 5G-189 insane? I will just have to continue this argument.
"Because aliens scare people. You guys are the reason why we build E.T. weapons. If you made a better first impression on our society, then maybe you could have prevented all of this!" I am trying to convince 5G-189, but I do not think it is working.
"It still would have all been the same. That is just how you humans function every day. Now, either leave, or we will have a space battle!"
"Stephen, what do I do!?!"
Stephen stepped back in. "Okay, 5G-189. Here is the deal. If you manage to catch up to us, then we shall declare a space battle."
"What are you doing Stephen? I—"
"That sounds like a good deal to me. Now, Stephen and Jordan, you two better both run!"
The communication was disconnected. Now, I need to figure out how to fly a ship. This is not a game. "Now, let's fly this ship forward!"
Three hours have passed. I am not sure really because I do not really know how time is told while you are in space. It is kind of crazy because Stephen has a silver watch on his left wrist. I have been looking at it for some time now. "We have been fighting and fleeting for three hours. When will this chase end?"
"To your second question, this will not end unless we either confront 5G-189 or we manage to lose her. To your first question, how do you know it has been three hours since 5G-189 spotted us?"
I turn to question about his watch for a brief moment. "I have been looking at your watch often. Also, how is it that I noticed your watch just after 5G-189 spotted us?"
"Oh, the watch?" He looked at the watch. "I have had the watch on me the whole time. It is rather small, but I still like it. I don't have it on me all the time. I keep it in my pocket quite often." That explains why I do not see it most of the time. "By the way, you need to look in front of you. Here... let me help you as a co-pilot."
"Okay, thanks for the help. Or... I guess I should thank you later... if we manage to either escape or find a safe spot." I should have asked him a lot sooner to help out.
Every event that occurs stirs the trip to a more dangerous route. Itseems that this trip will only continue to grow worse until we are cleansedfrom existence. Why won't 5G-189 go away from us? Why will she not know that wehave no reason to be killed by any means? I do have a suspicious feeling thatshe may not be the only one trying to capture us. This is not just a normalescape. This is not a normal jailbreak. This is now a heist.
