We managed to get everybody back on board, but on a different ship. "I cannot believe we just stole this ship. I cannot believe we just pulled that whole thing off."
Hyle knew something else would happen. "Don't get relieved yet. Don't forget that you still have to worry about my sister."
"We need to figure out how to take care of your sister."
"We do not need to kill her."
"We can't change her mind. She is so one-tracked that she may no longer see the bright side of the humans, if she has even seen them before."
"She has seen the bright side of the humans. It has just been so long."
"What are you talking about?"
"She has been to Earth before as part of a special study of how humans worked. She was sent alongside her father and 19 other helions in what would be the 450th year on Earth. I have a sample of the log here."
He handed me the piece of paper of what was Helena's father's death that happened 500 after they arrived on Earth. "So... she did want to befriend humans."
"That was... at first. Over 1,000 years past when she changed her mind. She had seen no positive side to humans, but you guys have enough evidence to prove otherwise."
"What about our behavior towards her?"
"All you need to do is save her life. She had told me that she would change her mind if a human would show the slightest sense of humility to save a helion's life, but that life has to be Helena's."
Mark suddenly came back into the conversation. "So... umm... what shall we do? Shall we try to stage an act to save her life?"
I forgot about Mark's presence with us. "Oh, I forgot you were still here."
"I have always been. I was one of the passengers in the back. Don't you remember?"
"Oh, right. Anyways, I do not think staging an act to save her life is a good idea."
"How so? I get that it will be extremely risky and—"
"Look. It will have to be somebody that has already planned to kill her. Also, she will still charge fire at us if somebody else shoots at her first."
"What exactly does that even mean?"
"Let me try to not confuse anybody here, including myself. We have already noticed the fact that Helena will stop at nothing to kill humans, starting with us. We might as well forget about saving her life for the time being. The thing we must focus on is to stay as far away from her as possible."
Stephen brought up something to be aware of. "There is one problem. Whenever we appear at a random location far away from her ship, she somehow reaches our new location in a matter of minutes, maybe even seconds."
"That is one thing to keep in mind. We might as well figure out how to keep diverting away from her ship."
"...and how will we be able do that?"
"First of all, we will have to figure out how exactly this ship works." I turned to Hyle, who was controlling the ship. "Hey, Gerald. Have you figured out how the ship works?"
Hyle instantly replied. "No need to ask. I have flown one of these ships. Didn't you hear that I used to work for my own sister?"
"Oh, right. Actually, how did that exactly happen? How did that work for you two? What happened between the two of you?"
"I would rather not say it, but I guess I could since we have nothing else to do at the moment. On Earth, they just started their 1,500th year. Helena was losing her patience over the humans. More and more of our small group of researches were being killed. We kept calling for backup researchers to be sent to Earth. 15 years later, it was just the two of us, and we had lost connection to our home planet. We did not know what to do next. I guess I should tell you about that whole conversation we had when we lost our connection."
