"Yeah...let's just get this over with." you huffed as you pushed open the old metal door.

Gojo had sent you and Itaodri on a mission only about a week after the goodwill event. It was a fairly easy mission but you would rather stay in your dorm watching your new favorite show instead of fighting curses.

"Why couldn't Nobara and Megumi join us?" Itadori asked trailing behind you.

"This mission doesn't require four people. Two people are more than enough to complete this," you informed. "We should split up and regroup at the entrance once all the curses are killed."

As you entered the fourth floor of the building an uneasy presence immediately washed over you in mere seconds. You opened the first door only to become face to face with a grotesque curse ready to kill you.

You quickly formed a weapon from the shadows that you saw in the book Maki let you borrow. It was a broadsword with a fur tsuba attached to the base.

As the curse lept towards you in a quick moment of thinking you dug the sword into the curse's throat. The curse let out a yell as you dragged the broadsword down its body slicing its stomach open.

"H-help...m...e" uttered a weak voice, your eyes shot down to the curse who had a hopeless expression on its face.

Did the curse just speak?

From what you have seen in your other encounters with different curses high-level curses can speak and understand human language. But this was a low-grade curse you doubted that it could even hold a normal conversation. Yet here it was muttering the words "help me" quite clearly.

"Oh, there you are (name)..." Itadori words trailed off once he saw you standing in front of the curse.

"Hey, Itadori why isn't the curse disappearing... I'm pretty sure I killed it..." you asked quietly staring down at the curse that was bleeding out.

When someone kills a curse the curse is supposed to disintegrate, but why wasn't this curse?

"Come on (name) It's getting late," Itadori said quickly dismissing your question.

He also acted like this when he knew something you didn't.

As you followed Itadori out of the building you heard a voice you didn't recognize say, "You killed someone (name)."

"Shut up Sukuna!" Itadori grumbled slapping his hand over his left cheek.

It took you a few moments to realize what Sukuna had just said.

"What?"

"Just ignore him (name)." Itadori huffed, closing his eyes as he continued to walk forward.

You furrowed your eyebrows together as you grabbed onto Itadoris shoulder, turning his body to face yours.

"Itadori, did I kill someone..." you asked your words bouncing off the empty halls, but he only stayed silent looking down at the ground and avoiding eye contact.

"It's possible for someone to change a human into a curse. That's why the "curse" you killed didn't disappear." Sukuna informed in a taunting tone. "Congratulations (name)! You're a murderer!"

You bit the inside of your check, the gears in your head turning as you tried to decipher Sukuna's words.

"You have no right to talk when you killed thousands." you scoffed, crossing your arms over your chest before walking ahead exiting the school grounds.

It took everything in you not to punch Itadori in hopes it would hit Sukuna's mouth. Your fingers dug into your palms as your hand balled up into a fist, an attempt to suppress the anger and confusion pulsing through your body.

It was a quiet ride back to the school, to say the very least.

"Oh, I didn't expect to see you here (name)," Shoko said lighting up a cigarette between her slender fingers, "You need a checkup or something?"

"No, I just wanted to ask a question before I head to bed." You said playing with the hem of your shirt.

"Go ahead I'm listening," Shoko reassured blowing out a puff of smoke.

"Can people turn into curses?" You asked softly.

Shoko's eyes widened a bit before she pushed her cigarette into a nearby ashtray. She let out a soft sigh before averting her full attention back towards you. "Why do you ask?"

"I was doing a mission earlier today and I killed a "curse" and it didn't disappear like usual. I asked Itadori about it and Sukuna said that I killed a person," you uttered looking down at your hands.

Shoko glanced at you for a split moment before looking down at her clipboard filled with information regarding curses. "Yes, people can be turned into curses but only by the structure of their body being forcibly altered by a cursed technique."

You felt your mouth turn dry once Shoko finished her explanation and in mere moments an uneasy feeling washed over you.

"The person who was turned into a curse most likely died of shock from the transformation. So the person was already dead you didn't kill anyone." Shoko reassured once she saw your sour expression.

Even if the person was dead or alive before you had entered the scene- it still didn't erase any of the heaviness that has been present in your body ever since you had returned at this school.

With a tired sigh, you rubbed the back of your neck, "Alright then, thanks- I'll see you later Shoko."

"Hey-"

Shokos voice called out, but it was too late- you had already closed the door behind you, a soft click of the lock echoing back towards Shoko.

The sound of silence was now almost haunting.

-

"Nice suit Megumi." Itadori teased as he fixed his blazer.

"Shut up. Is, Nobara and (name) ready for the auction, it starts soon."
