"𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗽𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁 𝗶𝘀?"
"Isn't that too much luggage?" Megumi asked eyeing Nobara who had one too many bags.
"Huh?! What do you mean this isn't even that much!" Nobara said sticking out her tongue to spite Megumi.
Megumi only stared at Nobara with his normal deadpan expression trying not to show his annoyance. "We're only staying for two days you don't need that much luggage."
"You never know what might happen!" Nobara lectured shrugging her shoulders.
"Whatever," Megumi uttered rolling his eyes.
"You know...now that I think about it we know absolutely nothing about this joint training session besides that it takes place over two days." You noted looking up from your phone.
"I only heard that it's going to be somewhat similar to the exchange event," Itadori added.
"Hey first years the bus is ready," Maki said turning around to face her classmates.
You shoved your luggage into the trunk before settling down in the plush seats. You doubt that anyone had any clue what this joint training session was even about so it would be a "pleasant" surprise to everyone.
Once you all arrived in Kyoto you couldn't help but marvel at the stunning scenery. Although the layout of the school wasn't that different from Tokyo it was still breathtaking nevertheless.
The Kyoto students were waiting in front of the gates eyeing you and the others. Although the atmosphere shifted entirely it still felt nice to see them all again.
Utahime clapped her hands together gathering the attention of all the students before announcing, "Alright I bet your all confused so I'll make this quick as we wait for Gojo. This joint training session will be somewhat similar to the exchange event but a bit different. You'll be paired with someone from the other school as your partner. You will then battle another team using the open space of the forest."
"So we're just battling each other?" Megumi asked.
"Yes. You'll all have 20 minutes to defeat your opponents and you can only win by knocking down one of your opponents. I and Gojo will then grade you on how well you performed as a team and ability-wise. So try to get along with your teammates even if you're both from opposite schools. That's for today's event at least." Utahime added.
Just as Utahime finished her explanation Gojo waltzed up with a small clipboard in his hand. "Sorry, I'm late I missed place the papers that had all the teams written on them!"
"How could you be that stupid!" Utahime scolded crossing her arms in annoyance.
"Anyways! The first match for today consists of Noritoshi Kamo and (Last Name) (First Name) vs Aoi Todo and Maki Zenin!"
You scrunch your face at the mere thought of Maki and Todo as a team. They both possess borderline superhuman strength and you had to fight them? That ought to be unfair.
"Also before I forget! You may only use 1/3 of the forest but don't worry there will be signs telling you not to go beyond that area," Gojo informed smiling, "Besides that try not to kill each other you may start when you hear the buzzer!"
The rest of the students and teachers then made their way to an area where they could watch the upcoming battle, while you and Kamo started to walk into the forest.
"The matchup doesn't seem one bit fair!" Itadori uttered as he followed behind Megumi.
"Yeah, it doesn't!" Nobara chimed in, crossing her arms.
"It does if you think about it," Panda said wisely.
"What do you mean?"
"Well, (first name) excels in hand-to-hand combat but lacks in far-range attacks, and she doesn't think before charging into battle. As for Noritoshi, he's great in far range with his arrows but "lacks" in close range but he's smart and knows what to do in dire situations." Panda informed, leading the others ahead.
"And your point is?" Nobara asked eyeing Panda suspiciously.
"My point is that they directly make up for each other weakness and if they are careful about how they go about this they could make a solid plan to at least take one of them down," Panda said.
"Tuna, tuna." Inumaki nodded.
"Todo and Maki could easily overwhelm (name) in a fight but it will be interesting to see how they go about this strange match-up," Panda added.
"We should try to make a plan." You said following behind Noritoshi, moving the branches out of your view.
"Yes, we should. Do you have any useful information about Maki?" Noritoshi asked looking back to face you, his voice serious and monotone.
"Not really..." you uttered. "Do you have any information about Todo?"
"Yes, his cursed technique allows him to swap places with anything as long as it possesses cursed energy by clapping his hands together," Noritoshi informed prepping his arrows. "I have a plan but it isn't very good. You just have to stall enough time for me to at least take down Maki with my arrows."
"How long do I have to stall them for?" you asked.
"Only a few minutes," Noritoshi said before a loud buzz echoed through the forest. "Good luck."
"Hey! Wait- that asshole!" you grumbled watching Kamo run deeper into the forest.
After a few moments of contemplating on what to do next, you heard a few footsteps in the distance. You quickly formed a katana from the shadows and got into a standard fighting position ready to put up a decent fight.
The footstep only grew louder as the seconds passed by but you couldn't locate where they were coming from. You turned around ready to walk around the forest to locate your opponents only to see Todo smashing through the trees with a big smile painted on his face.
"Alright! I'll make do with you!"
