"I brought gifts!" Gojo beamed walking into the scene with his hands full with a variety of small to medium-sized bags that were all nicely packaged.

It almost resembled a moment from an old cheaply made Christmas movie but minus Santa Claus and the so-called Christmas magic.

"Gifts?" questioned Maki crossing her arms slightly amused.

"Yup! For all my beloved students!" Gojo smiled setting the gifts down on the table, "First one up! Megumi!"

Gojo reached his arm out handing Megumi a small red box wrapped with a bright pink bow.

"Is this a prank or something?" Megumi asked eyeing Gojo suspiciously as he held the small red box in his palm.

Gojo let out a loud laugh that practically shocked the whole room before crossing his arms with a childish grin that painted his face, "Of course not! Do I look like the type of person who would do that!"

Megumi didn't bother to respond to his teacher's childish antics instead opting to pull the pink ribbon apart revealing the small gift inside.

"A dog whistle?" Megumi scoffed, sounding more annoyed than pleased with the situation unfolding in front of him.

"Yup! I figured it was perfect for you and your little demon dogs!" Gojo beamed, already holding the next gift in hand.

The others all couldn't help but laugh as Megumi shoved the whistle in his pocket all the while a pink tint of embarrassment reached his cheeks.

"Next up is Maki!" Gojo announced pointing to Maki who was now leaning against the table.

Gojo handed Maki a box that was roughly the size of a plastic container.

"This better be good." Maki chuckled, giving Megumi a teasing look, "I don't wanna end up with a dog whistle."

"Just open your gift," Megumi grunted elbowing Maki in her side.

Maki pulled the poorly wrapped box apart only to reveal a book titled, "A Beginners Guide To Sorcery".

To say the least, Gojo was the only one laughing in the room.

"Moving on..." Gojo coughed before clearing his throat to break the silence.,"(first name) you're up!"

"How...exciting..." you faked smiled, taking the present out of Gojo's hands.

"Don't act so worried it's merely a gift from me to you!" Gojo reassured before letting out a loud laugh.

You reluctantly opened the present expecting a backhanded gift but to your surprise, you were met with a plain black journal.

"...a journal?" you mused holding the new journal in your hands.

"It was on sale! So I had no other choice than to buy it!" Gojo explained crossing his arms before smiling towards you, "You can make good use outta things you least expect you know?"

"Yeah...I know," you answered still looking at the journal. There wasn't anything different about it.

The texture of the cover was a fake leather material you could find anywhere and the pages were all standard for a journal.

"I don't see what I could use this for..." you mumbled to yourself.

"If I were you, I would use that journal as a way to document my progress," Itadori said catching you off guard.

"Oh...I could do that-"

"You could use that as your dairy!" Itadori suggests happily, "I used to have a diary when I was younger but I always forgot to write in it!" Itadori huffed as if he was still upset with his younger self.

You giggled at Itadori's expressions before looking back at the journal with a different expression.

It only took a few more minutes to get through everyone's gift and by then it was getting late.

But before you allowed yourself to lay on your newly washed sheets you couldn't help but take a pen and write in the journal.

With the pen in your hands, you decided to write about all your encounters with Geto.

You retraced everything that happened the first time you met him practically reliving the events.

It didn't matter if the sentences you wrote didn't make sense to anyone but you.

As long as you were writing it would be ok.

The next thing you found yourself writing about was the deal you made with him.

It haunted you like a ghost from your past, its fingers never leaving your shoulders.

That awful deal weighed heavy in your mind, a thousand weights forcing you to carry it all.

Those moments where Geto would laugh at you or merely smile- it all felt like moments of mockery looking back.

But you are in the present, not the past.

All you could do was relive the past through pitiful memories and nothing more.

It worried you that there's a chance that you'll die if you don't please Geto. If you're gonna die then might as well die in a way that can be remembered.

A blaze of glory perhaps?

Or was something much less impactful in store for you?

You wrote until your hands formed cramps forcing you to drop the pen resulting in you staring at the pages of words.

You let out a sigh feeling some type of relief but it wasn't the relief you were looking for.

But this will have to do for now.

You flopped down on your bed staring at the ceiling taking in the quiet sounds of the nighttime wind passing by and the sound of crickets prancing in the field.

Maybe if you just close your eyes everything would be okay...
