CHAPTER ELEVEN - CONFLICTS

ISAVELL'S POV

Weeks turned to months, and speaking of months, dalawang buwan na lang December na. Within those months na magkasama kami, hindi matatapos ang linggo na hindi kami lumalabas, though minsan mas pinipili na lang namin sa bahay nila tapos nood lang ng movies at magluluto siya.

Posible ba na mahulog nang mahulog sa taong mahal mo na? Kasi 'yun 'yung nangyayari sa akin.

(Hey, you ready?) Rain said over the phone.

I looked at my reflection. "Yep, how 'bout you?"

(As always.) I couldn't help but smile. (Sir Alfonz, pinapatawag na po kayo sa loob.) I heard a female voice. (Thanks. Anyways, I'll pick you up at six PM, okay?)

"Got it. Take care and drive safely."

(Take care as well. I miss you.)

I wasn't able to stop my giggle. "Rain, our last meeting was yesterday."

(And?)

"And you can't possibly miss me that fast." I bit my lower lip.

(But I really do miss you.) There was a hint of pout? I believe he was pouting. He looks cute when he pouts.

"I-I miss you too." My face is definitely turning red.

(I knew it. Gotta hang up now, Vell. I'll call you later.)

"Okay. Bye."

(Bye.) Then I ended the call.

We're still friends

I still haven't told anyone about my feelings. After our first date, Tito Joseph let me live in my own house. He reasoned that he didn't want me to feel suffocated and decide on what I want to do with my life 'coz I'm old enough to do so, though they have—and by they, I meant him and my mother—one condition. The wedding will still be in December and I have to live with them in November. And since I already have feelings for Rain, I didn't argue about it.

Also, I went back to work that day. Good thing Madam J understood my situation, but of course, I won't receive my salary for those days. After that, I continued waitressing and performing. I admit that I missed my job. Rain stayed with me, of course. And my coworkers' teasing got worse, they never stopped shipping both of us! They even assumed that we already are in a relationship and we're just not telling them.

What an assumption.

I suddenly heard a knock on my main door. Must be Ate Madelene and Ate Rubilyn. I quickly opened the door and welcomed them with a smile.

"Dala namin!" They showed their make-up kits and other stuff for girls that will make them pretty. I never really used them since I never go out.

"Thank you po. Sorry for calling you this early." Mas binuksan ko pa yung pinto para makapasok sila nang tuluyan.

"Ano ka ba. Okay lang yan, wala naman masyadong ginagawa sa bahay." I closed the door and ate Madelene sat on my sofa, while Ate Ruby asked for a glass of water.

"Umm... I'll be wearing a white flowy dress." I went inside my room to pick it up and went back to the living room to show it to them. "With this." I showed them my black flats.
