The accident//Chapter 1

3rd person POV
The group of 4 where all candle running in golden wasteland, all being extremely careful on looking around for krills and crabs that could potentially make their candle run worse then it already was, the one leading the candle run, Clay, was even more careful since he had the responsibility to not get seen by any krills. "So how are you guys doing right now?" Clay asked nervously since he is the last one to ever want to lead a candle run in wasteland, he was after all the one that is the most scared of krills, but he offered to lead since all of the others we're all tired from leading the other candle runs. "I'm fine, just extremely tired heh" Chin replied chuckling afterwards, the others just nodded being to tired to talk, Clay nodded focusing on completing the candle run as fast as possible so they all could go back home and relax in their shared home in prairie. They continued through the graveyard found in golden wasteland when suddenly when they touched the ground again....a red flash of light and a booming noise of a krill finding a person flew through their ears. Clay quickly turned around seeing that one of the biggest krills had seen them, trying to think about a way to save the others he quickly came up with one, but it might not end well for him. He quickly let go of the others hands and pushed them off the cliff to the ground below mumbling "I'm sorry if this doesn't work" then...

Clay got hit by the krill and got thrown into a wall, luck wasn't on his side this time since he got thrown right onto some red rocks growing on the side of the wall, they weren't big but they were long and sharp enough to pierce right through a sky kid, which in this case....they did. Clay's eyes went wide with pain, confusion and surprise.
His friends Chin, Grace and Toast all saw this and immediately rushed to his side while he was trying to catch his breath while he felt himself slowly and painfully cracking with small red rocks forming in the cracks "Chin take Clay now! We have to go home immediately!" Chin nodded grabbing Clay bride style so he wouldn't fall easily. They went right back home Clay only getting worse by every second that passed, they quickly put him down on his soft bed Grace inspecting his core to see if it got hurt, and indeed it was. There was a big rock sitting in his core, making him crack by the infection of the red darkness. Grace getting immediately worried "Toast grab the medical bag right now we need to remove a red rock from his core" Toast and Chin went pale by the mention of having to remove a red rock from Clay's core. If Grace did something wrong they might risk losing him to his core not being able to handle the pain and killing itself to prevent the body of the core holder to experience such pain. Toast had ran to get the medical bag and had given it to Grace as soon as she came back, Grace immediately grabbing the right tools for the procedure of getting the rock out of the core "Clay, I need you to try and be completely still while I do this, so I don't do anything wrong and end up killing you, ok?" Clay only nodded since his mind was blurred by the pain that his body was already going through. Chin and Toast being next to Grace's and Clay's side trough the whole process, Chin holding Clay's hand and Toast helping Grace with giving her the right tools and herbs.

(Time skip to after the procedure because I am way to lazy to write about it, plus I don't know how that procedure would go-)

"Finally, we're done" Grace breathed out happily with closed eyes, he opened them and looked at Clay leaning against Chin while he hugged him "At least I didn't kill you huh Clay?" She laughed out trying to lighten the mood a little. Clay opened his closed eyes to look at Grace before laughing slightly being careful to not full on wheeze since he could potentially hurt himself by that. "Yeah at least you didn't! Glad that that's over" Grace nodded looking at the sleeping Toast next to her chuckling slightly "we should all go to sleep now, it's soon past midnight" she said "yeah, we should, only problem is I don't think Chin is letting me go anytime soon" Clay proceeded to look up at Chin, him smirking "That may or may not be true~" "pfft!-"
They all laughed for a small while making small jokes and such before they all decided to actually go to sleep "well I'll see you to lovebirds tomorrow, I need to take Toast to her bed" Grace said smirking while picking up Toast from the floor, both Chin and Clay blushed a hard red "I- WE ARENT LOVEBIRD YOU MUFFINHEAD!" Clay yelled at Grace while she went out of the room laughing.
Clay's yells of embarrassment was cut short by Chin laying down dragging him with him, Clay blushed even harder turning slightly to look at Chin who had his eyes closed "Chin what are yo-" Clay was once again interrupted by Chin putting his hand over his mouth and then moving it to his eyes "Shush...sleep it's past midnight already" Clay sighed knowing he had to give in since 1, he was stuck and wouldn't be able to move away from Chin's strong grasp on him. 2, he was in fact tired as well so he didn't mind sleeping. 3, he enjoyed being held by Chin, but he didn't want to admit he did, so instead of overthinking about both the fact that Chin was sleeping next to him and was holding him, he closed his eyes and went to sleep, not knowing what was going to happen to everyone...
