pain//chapter 12

Clay's POV

The others were sitting near the kitchen table eating breakfast while talking about random stuff, I saw that Chin had made a comment about Grace's and Toast's relationship due to both of them turning red, Toast was more red and started yelling at him "OI DON'T SAY STUFF LIKE THAT YOU DUMB CHAIR" Chin and Grace started to laugh immediately Grace trying to calm Toast down while still laughing 'their so happy...yep, they definitely don't need to know, at least for the time being' I started to read the book I had taken with me to the couch, I had been able to remove some of the rocks but due to the immense pain of the ones that were deeper I was unable to remove them. After a while of reading that might've been around an hour or two I'm not sure, I felt the couch dip and suddenly a weight on me, I put my book away to see Chin laying on me smirking "what?" I asked a little annoyed he had ruined my book time. He just chuckled before hugging me and whispered something into my ear that made me blush hard and hit him with the book making him laugh and hug me slightly tighter. "god you're adorable Clay" he laughed out, this made me blush even more and start yelling at him, telling him to shut up. "hmph- god I hate you so much sometimes"I said pouting while Chin just smirked "mhm suree you do~" I sat up making Chin fall on the floor "man fuck you" still pouting and blushing I started to walk away"pfft- alright I'll stop" Chin laughed out, but I continued to walk away into my room.

3rd person POV

Chin sighed still smiling softly thinking 'god I love him so much, I mean like how can he be so cute??!!' he laughed at himself and his thoughts before going to his room to change clothes, due to them thinking about going to valley before going to prairie, so he put on some of the fur/yeti pants he had gotten from the dreams spirit, he also put on his phoenix cape due to it actually being quite good in the snowy mountains of valley. He walked out and saw Toast with her snowflake cape and rhythm pants, Grace with her christmas cape and puffy pants "where's Clay?" Grace looked over and shrugged "dunno, he hasn't come out yet" just as she said that came Clay out of his room with the fur/yeti pants and fortune cape, he looked up and asked "you guys ready to go?" Toast hopped out of Grace's lap and ran up to him to take his hand "yep! come on now!" she took Grace's hand and let Chin take Clay's then they were off to valley once again.

Once they got to the snowy mountains of valley they sat down next to the campfire and started discussing what they would do, due to them literally just going there because they thought 'why not?' once they sat down they actually decided to stay there for a small while and just warm up next to the campfire, Grace and Toast sat next to each other while Clay and Chin sat next to each other they were jokingly singing while other sky kids just walked on past, sometimes glancing at them for singing so loudy and some joined in, sitting down next to them and started singing with them. Later on they decided to leave the campfire and just candle run, they had some fun with Clay turning into a chibi with a potion and running away from them and Toast just being a chaotic child by running away and flying off with Grace sometimes. In the end they were done and finally were able to go to prairie to candle run there as well, which this time, Chin and Grace decided to be chaotic, doing the same things that Clay and Toast had done in valley. After that they meet Togen at the end of prairie, he had a moth with him who was currently visiting the prairie elder "oh hi Tog!" Clay said smiling happily at him "oh hello guys" Tog said back smiling softly at all of them "what are you four doing here?" he asked looking at all of them "we were just candle running, being chaotic as well hehe" Toast said giggling "oh of course you all were" Togen said chuckling. The moth that had been meditating stood up while butterflies came up from a jar "welp that's my que to go, nice seeing you all again bye bye!" He said going over to the moth again who looked happily up to him "bye bye Tog! Don't kill the moth!" Clay exclaimed laughing.

The group went back home to rest again, even though it hadn't been a long day, they decided to take it easy now, also due to Clay requesting it "I'm tired..I'll be in my room if anyone needs me" He said tiredly walking to his room "oh ok Clay!" Grace said still hugging Toast, Chin just smiled softly when Clay went into his room before practically deflating on the couch almost falling asleep as well, the others laughed at him teasing him by calling him "lovebird" and more.

Clay's POV

I laid down on my bed staring up at the ceiling just thinking about how deep some of the crystals were 'are they,,,growing from my core?' he shook his head 'no no that can't be there, shouldn't be anymore crystals in there, Grace removed them right?' I went to the bathroom that I had and lifted my kimono styles shirt. My eyes widened when I saw that the Crystals had grown bigger, a lot bigger, when I touched them with the tip of my finger I quickly jerked my hand away and looked at the finger. There was some smoke coming from it, the skin of my finger had been burnt slightly 'ah...their...their working like the actual crystals now..' I frowned 'that's not good..' I down my shirt again, going back to my bed, trying to go to sleep to keep my mind off of it.

Long story short, it didn't work, I've now laid here for hours, I heard the others go to sleep maybe around 2 hours ago, I'm not sure, It's hard to know the time when you're stuck in your head. I stood up walking out of my room, but stopped when I reached the kitchen, I clutched my chest 'fuck...it hurts...so bad...I'm so tired god damnit..'
